ԱՄՆ-ում ստեղծվել Է աշխարհի ամենամեծ ինքնաթիռը՝ նախատեսված տիեզերք հրթիռների արձակման համար

Stratolaunch ինքնաթիռը՝ թեւերի՝ աշխարհում ամենամեծ՝ 117 մետր բացվածքով, մայիսի 31-ին առաջին անգամ դուրս Է բերվել Մոհավեի անապատի (Կալիֆոռնիայի նահանգ) օդանավարանից: Orbital OTK կորպորացիայի ստեղծած մեքենան նախատեսված Է 9100 մետր բարձրությունից տիեզերական հրթիռների արձակման համար: Այն հանդերձված Է վեց Pratt&Whitney PW4056 շարժիչներով եւ իրենից ներկայացնում Է երկու ֆյուզելաժ՝ յուրաքանչյուրը 72 մետր երկարությամբ, որոնք միացված են ընդհանուր թեւով: Բուն ինքնաթիռի զանգվածը 250 տոննա Է, իսկ լրիվ բեռնվածությամբ՝ 590 տոննա:
«Մենք ուրախ ենք հայտնելու, որ Stratolaunch ինքնաթիռի ստեղծման աշխատանքում կարեւոր ուղենիշ Է հաղթահարվել երկրաշուրջ ցածր ուղեծիր բեռներ հասցնելու հարմար, հուսալի եւ մշտական միջոցի ստեղծման ճանապարհին,- Space.com ինտերնետ-պորտալի տարածած հայտարարության մեջ հայտնել Է Stratolaunch Systems Corp ընկերության գլխավոր կառավարիչ Ջին Ֆլոյդը:- Այսպիսով, ավարտված Է ինքնաթիռի ստեղծման առաջին փուլը, եւ սկսվում Է ցամաքային եւ թռիչքային փորձարկումների փուլը»:
Ֆլոյդի խոսքով՝ Stratolaunch-ն ստեղծված Է որպես օդային հարթակ Pegasus XL տանող հրթիռների արձակման համար: Առաջին փուլում այն կկրի մեկ տանող հրթիռ, իսկ հետագայում՝ մինչեւ երեք հրթիռ:
Stratolaunch ընկերությունն ստեղծվել Է 2011 թվականին ամերիկացի միլիարդատեր Փոլ Ալենի կողմից, որը Microsoft կորպորացիայի հիմնադիրներից մեկն Է: Նրա կարողությունը հասնում Է 18,6 միլիարդ դոլարի, եւ նա 40-րդ հորիզոնականն Է զբաղեցնում աշխարհի ամենահարուստ մարդկանց ցուցակում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
