Ուելսի մայրաքաղաք Քարդիֆում տեղի ունենալիք Չեմպիոնների լիգայի եզրափակչում մրցելու են Մադրիդի «Ռեալ»-ը և Թուրինի «Յուվենտուս»-ը:

«Մադրիդի «Ռեալ»-ն  այստեղ հաղթելու դեպքում կդառնա միակ ակումբը, որին հաջողվել է երկրորդ տարին անընդմեջ տիրանալ բաղձալի գավաթին: «Արքայական» ակումբը վերջին 4 տարում 3-րդ անգամ է դուրս գալիս ՉԼ եզրափակիչ: «Ռեալ»-ին հաջողվել է 2014 և 2016 թվականների եզրափակիչներում հաղթել «Ատլետիկո»-ին:

«Յուվենտուս»-ին հաջողվել է երկու անգամ հաղթել Չեմպիոնների լիգայում` հեռավոր 1985 և 1996 թվականներին: Սակայն իտալական ակումբը նաև հակառեկորդ ունի` 6  եզրափակիչում զիջելով մրցակիցներին:

«Ռեալ»-ը և «Յուվենտուս»-ը մրցել են նաև 1998 թվականի եզրափակիչում, որտեղ «սերուցքայիններին» հաջողվել է նվազագույն հաշվով հաղթանակ տոնել: «Յուվենտուս»-ի դարպասապահ Ջանլուիջի Բուֆոնը միակ ֆուտբոլիստն է, ով եղել է թիմի կազմում նաև 2003 թվականի եզրափակիչի ժամանակ:

Այս թիմերը եվրագավաթների շրջանակներում միմյանց դեմ մրցել են 18 անգամ` «Յուվենտուս»-ը խփել է 21, իսկ «Ռեալ»-ը` 18 գոլ:

«Յուվենտուս»-ը ՉԼ եզրափակիչում հաղթելու դեպքում կարող է ոսկե հեթ-տրիկ ձևակերպել, քանի որ թիմը շահել է Իտալիայի առաջնությունը և Գավաթի եզրափակիչը: Իսկ «ծեր սինյորա»-ի կիսապաշտպան Դանի Ալվեսի համար «Ռեալ»-ի դեմ դիմակայությունը կլինի 100-րդ հանդիպումը ՉԼ-ում:

Չեմպիոնների լիգայի 2016/17 մրցաշրջանի եզրափակիչը կընդունի Ուելսի մայրաքաղաք Քարդիֆը, որի բնակչությունը կազմում է 358.400: Այն Լոնդոնից հեռու է 240 կմ և համարվում է նավահանգստային քաղաք:

ՉԼ եզրափակիչը կկայանա հունիսի 3-ին և կմեկնարկի Երևանի ժամանակով 22:45-ին:
