Թեխասում Հյուսիսային Հոլիվուդից հայի են բռնել՝ արագությունը գերազանցելու համար, իսկ մեքենան խուզարկելիս մարիխուանա են գտել: Այս մասին գրում է SlavicSac-ը:
Պաշտպանը պնդում է, որ 52-ամյա Վարդազարյանը պարզապես չի կարողացել բացատրվել ոստիկանի հետ, քանի որ անգլերեն լավ չգիտի:
Վարդազարյանին բռնել են դեռեւս 2016 թվականի ապրիլին՝ Այովա Փարքից ոչ հեռու, արագությունը գերազանցելու համար: Պահեստային անիվի փոխարեն մեքենայում մարիխուանայի հետքեր են գտել: Սրահում նաեւ 66 հազար դոլար կանխիկ գումար է եղել:

Պաշտպանը նշել է, որ Քալիֆորնիայում մարիխուանան բժշկական նպատակներով թույլատրված է: Ոստիկանը խոստովանել է, որ հաշվի չի առել այդ գործոնը:
