Մի խումբ ամերիկացի դիետոլոգներ պատմել են, թե սննդի հետ կապված ինչ սովորություններ են հանգեցնում ծերացման պրոցեսի ինտենսիվությանը, անդրադառնալով ոչ միայն քաշի ու մարդու ընդհանուր ինքնազգացողության, այլեւ նրա արտաքինի, մաշկի վիճակի վրա։ Այդ առումով ամենավտանգավորներից է ֆաստֆուդի գործածումը։

Գիտնականները արձանագրել են, որ ինքնուրույն իրենց համար ուտելիք պատրաստող մարդկանց քանակը նվազում է ու այդ ֆոնին աճում է «պատրաստի» ուտելիքի գործածումը, որն ընդամենը պետք է տաքացնել միկրոալիքային վառարանում։ Սակայն նրանց խոսքով, ֆաստֆուդ խորհուրդ է տրվում հնարավորինս հազվադեպ ուտել։ «Այդ սնունդը պարունակում է ամենամեծ քանակության ֆոսֆատներ»,- ասում են փորձագետները։ Տվյալ քիմիական միացությունները, հայտնվելով օրգանիզմի մեջ, նպաստում են քաղցկեղային բջիջների ակտիվության աճին։

Ոգելիցի չարաշահումը ծերացման եւս մեկ գործոն է։ Բժիշկների խոսքով, ոգելից ըմպելիքները լայնացնում են մաշկի մակերեսի արյունատար մանր անոթները։ Ժամանակի ընթացքում այդ անոթները լայնանում են կամ վնասվում, ու մաշկը կորցնում է իր առողջ երանգը, ձեռք բերում մշտական կարմրություն։

Մեծ քանակության շաքարից մաշկը կորցնում է առաձգականությունը, հավելել են փորձագետները։ Քաղցրակերների տեսքը տարիքի հետ շատ ավելի է վատանում։

Նաեւ օրգանիզմի համար ծայրահեղ վնասակար է համարվում «ոտքի վրա» ուտելու սովորությունը, որը վերջերս շատ տարածված է։ Այս սովորության հետ է կապակցված ոչ կանոնավոր սննդակարգը, երբ երկար ժամեր քաղցած են մնում, իսկ հետո քաղցը հագեցնելու համար մեծ քանակության ածխածիններով ու ճարպերով սնունդ օգտագործում։

«Լիարժեք ճաշը երկրորդ պլան է մղվում, բայց «ոտքի վրա» սնվելու սովորությունը ոչ միայն հյուծում է իմունիտետը, այլեւ վնասում ընդհանուր առողջությանը»,- նշել են գիտաշխատողները։
