Հունիսի 4–ին Մեծ Բրիտանիայի մայրաքաղաքում հերթական ահաբեկչությունն է գրանցվել: Միկրոավտոբուսը դուրս է եկել Լոնդոնի կամրջի՝ հետիոտների համար նախատեսված հատված, վրաերթի ենթարկել մարդկանց, այնուհետև դանակներով զինված տղամարդիկ են հարձակվել անցորդների վրա հարակից Բորո շուկայի մոտ, ինչի արդյունքում մոտ յոթ հոգի մահացել են, իսկ Շտապ–օգնության ծառայությունն առնվազն 50 հոգու տեղափոխել է տարբեր բուժհաստատություններ:
 
Լոնդոնի ոստիկանությունը պատահածը ահաբեկչություն է որակել, հայտարարել, որ կիրակի օրը ձերբակալել է 12 հոգու՝ խոստանալով բացահայտել ահաբեկչության հեղինակներին: Բայց դա, ինչպես նաև՝ վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյի հայտարարությունը, թե՝ մեղավորներն ամենայն խստությամբ են պատժվելու, ոչ հանրությանն է մխիթարել, ոչ՝ քաղաքական դաշտին:

Մեյի կուսակից պահպանողականները, սակայն, ասվածը նախընտրական հուսահատ ճիգ ու հապշտապ ելույթ են որակել (արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների անցկացման օրն, ի դեպ, արդեն իսկ հայտնի է՝ հունիսի 8), իսկ Անվտանգության նախարար Բեն Ուոլենը հիշեցրել է, որ նույն Քորբինը, ով նախկինում ընդհանրապես դեմ էր արտահայտվում ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարին միտված օրենքներին, այժմ ցանկանում է շեղել հանրության ուշադրությունը՝ հավելյալ մեղքեր բարդելով Մեյի կաբինետի գլխին: Ինչ վերաբերում է վարչապետին՝ նա նույնպես չի ընդունել իր հասցեին հնչած մեղադրանքները՝ խոսելով երկրում ծայրահեղականության նկատմամբ տոլերանտության վտանգի, հակաահաբեկչական պայքարի նոր ռազմավարության և համացանցի՝ որպես անվտանգ տարածքի, վերացման մասին, ինչը նոր վեճի առիթ է դարձել: Աժմ Բրիտանիայում խոսում են ինտերնետի վերահսկման անթույլատրելիության վերաբերյալ, իսկ Open Rights Group կազմակերպությունը, որը զբաղվում է համացանցային տիրույթում իրավունքների ու ազատությունների պաշտպանությամբ, հայտարարել է, թե ոլորտի կարգավորումը կարող է համացանցի ավելի մութ անկյուններ մղել ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություններին։
