Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությունը պետք է հաղթահարել միայն բանակցությունների միջոցով: Նման հայտարարություն է արել Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը՝ Ի. Կանտի անվան Բալթյան դաշնային համալսարանի ուսանողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ:
«Միայն պետք է պայմանավորվել, այլ ճանապարհ չկա: Բանակցային գործընթացի երկարատև ժամանակահատվածում, որն ընդունում էր տարբեր ձևեր, պայմանավորվածությունները շատ անգամ մոտ էին լինում, անգամ՝ մեկնած ձեռքի հեռավորության վրա, սակայն հետագայում աշխատում էր անվստահության ինչ-որ բնազդ, բայց պետք է շարունակել աշխատանքը»,- ինչպես հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը, ասել է Լավրովը:
ՌԴ արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարն ընդգծել է, որ չնայած նրան, որ բանակցությունների արդյունքում արդեն մշակվել են մի շարք սկզբունքներ, «անհրաժեշտ է համաձայնեցնել մի շարք շատ դժվար դետալներ, որոնք շոշափում են շատ զգայուն հարցեր»:
«Բայց մենք չենք դադարում փորձել, Ռուսաստանն ինչպես գիտեք ԱՄՆ-ի և Ֆրանսիայի հետ հանդիսանում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ, որի կազմում մենք պարբերաբար հանդիպում ենք կողմերի հետ: Մենք հետագայում ևս այդ եռյակի շրջանակում կմտածենք այն ուղղությամբ, թե ինչպես հաղթահարենք փոքր, սակայն լուրջ դետալներ, որոնք դեռևս համաձայնեցված չեն»,- ընդգծել է Լավրովը:
