Արամ Սարգսյանին իր շարքերում տեղ տվող ցանկացած քաղաքական թիմ ի վերջո փոշմանում է ու զղջում նրան իր մի մաս դարձնելու, նրա հետ իր քաղաքական ծրագրեն քննարկելու ու անգամ նրան իր հետ կողք կողքի քայլել թողնելու համար։ Հեռու չգնանք ու հիշենք այս ընտրարություններին նախորդող ընտրությունները, երբ Արամ Սարգսյանը ՀԱԿ-ի կողմից էր մասնակցում ընտրություններին, ու ամենայն հավանականությամբ նրան հետին մտքերն ու ներդրյալ տեսակը բացահայտվեց ՀԱԿ կմբակցության կողմից ու ու ընտրություններից անմիջապես հետո խմբակցությունը ստիպես նրան հրաժարվել մանդատից։ Այս ընտրությունների ժամանակ նա նոր ապաստարան գտավ՝ «Ելք» դաշինքը։ Արամ Սարգսյանը, ով իր ողջ անբովանդակ քարոզարշավն անցկացրեց միայն գոռոցներով ու հնդկական ցածրորակ ֆիլմերից ցիտատներ անելով, արդյունքում հավաքեց ընդամենբը 500 ձայն։

Այդ խայտառակության ֆոնին, սակայն, նա գնաց Ազգային ժողով, որը թերևս առաջին անտրամաբանական երևույթն էր նրա հետ կապված, այդքան քիչ թվով մարդու կողմից ընտրված պատգամավորներ սովորաբար չեն լինում։ «Ելքը» նրան տվեց այդ շանսը և ՀԱԿ-ի պատմությունը չկրկնվեց։Նա խորհրդարանական աշխատանքի առաջին մի քանի օրերին Արամի մոտ տեղի ունեցավ ձայնալարերի կտրուկ խզում։ Այս ամենը նրա նոր ստրատեգիական քայլն էր․ ամբիոնների մոտ այլոց վատաբանելու համար հոգին տվող Արամը թերևս նոր անելիքներ էր որոնում։ Ու այս օրերին երբ բոլորը սպասում են ընդդիմադիր ուժերի կողմից համագործակցությանը, Արամ Սարգսյանի լեզուն բացվում է։ Իսկ լեզուն ուղղվում է ոչ այլ կող, քան այդ համագործակցության նորոգվող հիմքերի խարխլման գործի։

Երբ «Ելքի» լիդերները պարբերաբար դրական գնահատականներ են տալիս և նույնիս առաջարկում «Ծառուկյան» դաշինք- «Ելք» համագործակցություն, Արամ Սարգսյանը հայտարարում է, թե նախ «Ծառուկյան» դաշինքը թող ապացուցի, որ ինքն ընդդիմադիր է․․․․Պարադոքսալ աբսուրդը այս պարագայում կարելի է մեկ հիմնավորմամբ ներկայացնել․ Արամ Սարգսյանը աստիճանաբար բացահայտում է իր իրական գործառույթը, այն է թե «Ելքի», թե՛ առհասարակ ընդդիմության ուժերի թուլացում ներսից։ Սա է թերևս 500 քվեանոց մանդատի իրական գինը։
