 ԱՄՆ-ում ՀՀ դեսպան Գրիգոր Հովհաննիսյանը մայիսի 31-ին Նյու Յորքում հանդիպում ունեցավ ԱՄՆ Արևելյան ափի հայկական կազմակերպությունների` Հայաստանյայց առաքելական եկեղեցու արևելյան թեմի, Կիլիկիո Արևելյան թեմի, ՀԲԸՄ, Համահայկական հիմնադրամի, Հայ իրավաբանների միության, Հայ օգնության ֆոնդի, Վարդանանց ասպետների, Թեքեյան մշակութային միության, Հայաստանի մանուկների հիմնադրամի, Ամերիկայի հայկական խորհրդի, Ռամկավար ազատական կուսակցության, ՀՅԴ կուսակցության, Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի, Ամերիկայի հայ ավետարանչական ընկերակցության, Միացյալ Նահանգների Հայ ինժեներների և գիտնականների միության ղեկավարների, ինչպես նաև տպագիր մամուլի ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:

Դեսպան Հովհաննիսյանը ներկայացրեց Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ հարաբերությունների դինամիկան` անդրադառնալով երկկողմ օրակարգի կարևորագույն ուղղություններին:

Դեսպանն անդրադարձավ նաև վերջին տարվա ընթացքում ԱՄՆ արտաքին քաղաքականության մեջ և Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ հարաբերություններում  տեղի ունեցած զարգացումներին: Կարևորվեց երկկողմ հարաբերությունները նոր մակարդակի բարձրացնելու, ինչպես նաև տնտեսական կապերն ու տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտում փոխգործակցությունն ընդլայնելու անհրաժեշտությունը:

Դեսպան Հովհաննիսյանը հավաստիացրեց, որ նման հանդիպումները շարունակական են լինելու` ընդգրկելով նաև ԱՄՆ այլ շրջանների հայկական կազմակերպությունները:
