Հայաստանում նախորդ տարվա ցուցանիշներով միջին մասնագիտական, բարձրագույն և հետբուհական ուսումնական հաստատություններում գերակշռում են կին ուսանողները: Այս մասին են փաստում Ազգային վիճակագրական ծառայության կայքում գտնվող հրապարակումները:
 
Ըստ վիճակագրության՝ հանրապետության 93 միջին մասնագիտական պետական և ոչ պետական ուսումնական հաստատություններում 2016/2017 ուսումնական տարում ընդունվել է 8329 (կանայք` 53,2%), սովորել` 23193 (կանայք` 53,6%), ավարտել` 7677 (կանայք` 57,7%) մարդ: Նույն ուսումնական տարում հանրապետության 63 բարձրագույն պետական և ոչ պետական ուսումնական հաստատություններ և 12 մասնաճյուղեր բարձրագույն կրթության առաջին աստիճանում իրականացրել են մասնագիտական կրթություն բակալավրի ծրագրով: Այդ հաստատություններ ընդունվել է 17649 (կանայք` 52,1%), սովորել` 81648 (կանայք` 53,8%), ավարտել` 19036 (կանայք` 56%) մարդ:
 
Հանրապետության 34 բարձրագույն պետական և ոչ պետական ուսումնական հաստատություն, 9 մասնաճյուղ և 4 գիտական կազմակերպություն բարձրագույն կրթության երկրորդ աստիճանում իրականացրել են մասնագիտական կրթություն մագիստրոսի ծրագրերով: Այդ կազմակերպություններ ընդունվել է 6401 (կանայք` 62,4%), սովորել` 10910 (կանայք` 59,9%), ավարտել` 6507 (կանայք` 64,5%) մարդ:
 
2016 թ. հանրապետության ասպիրանտուրա ունեցող 58 գիտակրթական կազմակերպությունից 20–ը բարձրագույն ուսումնական հաստատություն է, 31–ը` Գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի ինստիտուտ և 7–ը` այլ գիտական կազմակերպություն: Նախորդ տարի ասպիրանտուրա է ընդունվել 396 դիմորդ, նրանցից 166–ը առկա ուսուցմամբ: Ասպիարանտուրա ընդունվողների մոտ կեսը՝ 190–ը, եղել են կանայք: Ընդ որում նշված 396 դիմորդից գրեթե բոլորը անվճար հիմունքներով են սովորել, ըստ վիճակագրության՝ այդ թիվը կազմել է 379:
 
Ասպիրանտուրա ընդունվածների թվաքանակի պատկերից պարզ է դառնում, որ մեր երկրում երիտասարդները նախապատվությունը տալիս են տնտեսագիտական, տեխնիկական և պատմական բաժիններին: Աղյուսակը նաև ցույց է տալիս, թե կրթության հետագա կատարելագործման ձգտողների թվից աստիճանաբար պակասում են գյուղատնտեսական, բժշկական, փիլիսոփայական և արվեստագիտական բաժիններում ուսումը շարունակել ցանկացողները:
 
Ասպիրանտուրա ավարտածներից ատենախոսությունը պաշտպանության է ներկայացրել 39 մարդ (10–ը` կանայք), նրանցից 20–ը` առկա ուսուցմամբ (4–ը` կանայք), 19–ը` հեռակա ուսուցմամբ (6–ը` կանայք):
 
2016 թ. հանրապետության դոկտորանտուրա ունեցող 12 գիտակրթական կազմակերպությունից 7–ը բարձրագույն ուսումնական հաստատություն է, 5–ը` գիտական: 2016 թ. դոկտորանտուրա ընդունվածների թիվը բավական տխուր է՝ ընդամենը 13 հոգի, որոնց թվում եղել է ընդամենը 3 կին:
