Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հավանության է արժանացրել Կատարում թուրք զինծառայողների տեղակայելու օրենքը՝ դրանով Կատարին աջակցելու ազդանշան տալով։ Վերջինը մեկուսացվել է, քանի որ մի շարք արաբական երկրներ խզել են Դոհայի հետ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները:

Էրդողանը հավանության է արժանացրել Թուրքիայի եւ Կատարի միջեւ եւս մեկ համաձայնագիր՝ ռազմական նախապատրաստության ոլորտում համագործակցության վերաբերյալ։ Թուրքիան նաեւ պարտավորվել է Կատար սննդամթերք ու ջուր մատակարարել։

Ավելի վաղ Էրդողանը հայտարարել էր, որ Թուրքիան կշարունակի զարգացնել Կատարի հետ հարաբերությունները։
Ընդհանուր առմամբ, 10 երկիր է խզել դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները Կատարի հետ, ներառյալ՝ 7 արաբական պետություն: Կատարին մեղադրում են ահաբեկչությունը ֆինանսավորելու մեջ։ Կատարը հերքում է մեղադրանքները։
Արաբական պառակտումից օգուտ է քաղաքում առաջին հերթին Թուրքիան`զորքեր տեղակայելով Կաթարում և դառնալով`ԱՄՆ–ին զուգահեռ, այդ երկրի անվտանգության երաշխավորը։ Բացի այդ, արաբական մի շարք երկրներ խզել են նաև տնտեսական կապերը Կաթարի հետ, ինչը նոր հնարավորություններ է բացելու թուրքական բիզնեսի էքսպանսիայի համար կաթարյան շուկա։ Անկարան օգտվելու է Կաթարի շուրջ ստեղծված իրավիճակից`Ծոցում իր ռազմա–քաղաքական ու տնտեսական ներկայությունն ամրապնդելու համար։

Դրա դիմաց էլ Կաթարը միլիարդավոր դոլարների ներդրումներ կանի թուրքական շուկայում ու երկու երկրները Ծոցում գործելու են, որպես ռազմա–տնտեսական տանդեմ`հակակշիռ Սաուդյան Արաբիային ու Ծոցի այլ միապետություններին, ինչպես նաև Իրանին, որը լարված հարաբերությունների մեջ է ԱՄՆ–ի ազդեցության գոտում գտնվող Ծոցի միապետությունների հետ։

Կաթարյան ճգնաժամը կարծես թե նոր հնարավորություններ է ընձեռնում Էրդողանին կյանքի կոչելու նոր օսմանականության քաղաքականությունը։
