Մայիսին սննդամթերքը թանկացել է միջինը 6.2%-ով

2001 թվականից գնանկում է տեղի ունեցել միայն անցյալ տարի՝ -1.4%-ով: Մյուս բոլոր տարիները նշանավորվել են գնաճով: Նվազագույն գնաճն արձանագրվել է 2005 թվականին (միջինը 0.6%), առավելագույնը՝ 2008-ին (9.0%):
Անցյալ տարվա գնանկումը հիմնականում կապված էր սննդամթերքի հետ. գները նվազեցին միջինը 3.3%-ով: Օրինակ՝ ալկոհոլային խմիչքն ու ծխախոտը միջինն էժանացան «ընդամենը» 0.4%-ով, իսկ ծառայությունները նույնիսկ փոքր-ինչ թանկացան՝ 1.8%-ով:
Պաշտոնական վիճակագրական տվյալների համաձայն՝ սպառողական ծախսերի կեսից քիչ ավելին բաժին է ընկնում սննդամթերքին: Այդ պատճառով այս խմբում տեղաշարժերը նախանշում են սպառողական գների ինդեքսը: Այստեղ հարկավոր է հաշվի առնել այն հանգամանքը, որ բնակչության անապահով խավերի մոտ սննդի տեսակարար ծախսը զգալիորեն բարձր է միջին ցուցանիշից:
Կարելի է ենթադրել, որ անցյալ տարվա գնանկումը հիմնականում կապված էր հանրապետության բնակչության ընդհանուր գնողունակության կրճատման հետ: Սա, իր հերթին, արտերկրից դրամական օգնության կրճատման հետեւանք էր: Հայկական արժույթի հաշվարկով անցյալ տարի Հայաստան ֆիզիկական անձանց դրամական փոխանցումները կրճատվել են 44.5 մլրդ դրամով կամ 5.7%-ով: Ընդ որում, դրամական փոխանցում ստացողների մի մասը հենց անապահով ընտանիքներն են, որոնց բյուջեում սննդի ծախսերը մեծ բաժին են կազմում:
Ընթացիկ տարվա հունվար-ապրիլին «ռուսական» դրամական փոխանցումների հետ կապված իրավիճակը փոխվել է՝ դոլարի (Ռուսաստանում) եւ դրամի (Հայաստանում) հանդեպ ռուսական ռուբլու ամրապնդման հետեւանքով: Ընդհանուր առմամբ, Հայաստանի ֆիզիկական անձանց դրամական փոխանցումներն աճել են 21.1 մլրդ դրամով (կամ 11.5%-ով) եւ հասել 205 մլրդ դրամի: Ռուսաստանից դրամի հոսքն ավելացել է 14.6 մլրդ դրամով (15.0%), եւ կազմել 111.4 մլրդ դրամ: Ամենայն հավանականությամբ, այս տեղաշարժը դրամական փոխանցումներ ստացող անապահով ընտանիքներին թույլ է տվել ավելացնել սննդի համար ծախսվող գումարի չափը: Օրինաչափ է, որ գնողունակության աճը հանգեցրեց նաեւ գների աճին:
Հունվար-ապրիլին Հայաստանի մանրածախ ապրանքաշրջանառության ծավալը հասել է 362 մլրդ դրամի, իսկ ընթացիկ գներում աճը՝ շուրջ 21 մլրդ դրամ: Վերջին տվյալներով՝ մայիսին սպառողական գների ինդեքսը կազմել է 101.6%, այդ թվում սննդամթերքի մասով՝ 106.2%:
