ՀՀ ԱԻ նախարարն ընդունել է ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսի ղեկավարած պատվիրակությունը

ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նասխարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանը հունիսի 12-ին ընդունեց Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսին, ԱՄՆ միջազգային զարգացման գործակալության (USAID) գրասենյակի ծրագրի ղեկավար Էլիս Մերվինին, Պաշտպանության կցորդ Բրյուս-Մըրֆիին և Պաշտպանության համագործակցության գրասենյակի ղեկավար Ջոն Ֆրիելին: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարությունից:
Ողջունելով ՀՀ ԱԻ նախարարին՝ դեսպան Միլսը նշեց. «Միացյալ Նահանգներն ու Հայաստանը 25 տարի շարունակ գործընկերներ են եղել, և ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարությանը մշտապես համարել է հուսալի գործընկեր: Մենք սպասում ենք մեր հետագա համագործակցությանը նախարարության հետ, որը հետևողականորեն աշխատում է արտակարգ իրավիճակների պատրաստականության ու արդյունավետ արձագանքման կարողությունների մակարդակի առավել բարձրացման ուղղությամբ»
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվեցին աղետների ռիսկի նվազեցման և արտակարգ իրավիճակների ոլորտում համագործակցության ակտիվացման և ընդլայնման հնարավորությունները: Կողմերը նախնական պայմանավորվածություն ձեռքբերեցին ակտիվացնել փրկարարների վերապատրաստման, փորձի փոխանակման, տեսական և գործնական դասընթացների անցկացման գործընթացները՝ ելնելով ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության արդիականացման նոր կարիքներից:
Խնդիր դրվեց համատեղ աշխատել Երկրատեղեկատվական համակարգերի (GIS) տվյալների բազայի համալրման և քարտեղագրման ուղղությամբ՝ ներդնելով այս ոլորտում առաջատարը հանդիսացող երկրների փորձը:
Իր խոսքում ԱԻ նախարարը շեշտեց տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության կարևորությունը՝ նշելով, որ ԱՄՆ-ի աջակցությամբ այն կարող է դառնալ առավել սերտ և արդյունավետ:
