 Ալժիրում ՀՀ դեսպան Արմեն Մելքոնյանը (նստավայրը՝ Կահիրե) hոկտեմբերի 11-ին իր հավատարմագրերի պատճենը հանձնել է Ալժիրի Ժողովրդական Ժողովրդավարական Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ռամտան Լամամրային։ Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, հանդիսավոր արարողությանը հետևած առանձնազրույցի ընթացքÕ �ւմ Ալժիրի արտգործնախարարը և ՀՀ դեսպանը քննարկել են Ալժիրի և Հայաստանի միջև տարբեր ոլորտներում երկկողմ համագործակցության ակտիվացման ուղիները, իրավապայմանագրային դաշտի ձևավորման անհրաժեշտությունը, ինչպես նաև միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակում փոխադարձ աջակցության հնարավորությունները։

Դեսպան Մելքոնյանը նախարարին է ներկայացրել ՀՀ արտաքին քաղաքականության առաջնահերթությունները, խոսել է հայ և արաբ ժողովուրդների միջև առկա ավանդական բարեկամական կապերի մասին։ Զրուցակիցները մտքեր են փոխանակել տարածաշրջանային խնդիրների, մասնավորապես, Մերձավոր Արևելքում տիրող մտահոգիչ իրավիճակի շուրջ։

Դեսպան Մելքոնյանն անդրադարձել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնահարցի շուրջ վերջին զարգացումներին, ներկայացրել է խաղաղ կարգավորմանն ուղղված Հայաստանի և Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների ջանքերը, ինչպես նաև Բաքվի ապակառուցողական կեցվածքը և նրա կողմից հրադադարի ռեժիմի շարունակական կոպիտ խախտումներն ու խաղաղ բնակավայրերի հրետակոծումները։

Արմեն Մելքոնյանը նաև հանդիպում է ունեցել Ալժիրի մշակույթի նախարար Ազզեդին Միհուբիի հետ: Քննարկվել են երկու երկրների միջև մշակութային կապերի ամրապնդման հնարավորությունները: Զրուցակիցները կարևորել են արվեստագետների խմբերի փոխայցելությունները, փոխադարձ մասնակցությունը Հայաստանում և Ալժիրում կազմակերպվող միջազգային փառատոններին, համաժողովներին և այլ նշանակալից մշակութային միջոցառումներին:
