Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակ Դավիթ Բաբայանը ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների կողմից ակնկալում է կոշտ, հասցեական հայտարարություն՝ ուղղված հունիսի 16-ին արցախա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում եւս մեկ անգամ Ադրբեջանի կողմից ագրեսիայի դրսեւորմանը: Նրա խոսքով՝ նման կոշտ դիրքորոշմամբ եւ քայլերով միջազգային հանրությունը պետք է զսպի այդ սանձազերծ պետությանը:
«Երեկվա իրադարձությունները պետք է դիտարկել երկու հարթությունում. մեկը՝ մարդասիրական, եւ այս առումով սա իրոք ողբերգություն է, մենք անդառնալի կորուստներ ունեցանք՝ երեք զոհ: Բոլորս այդ կորուստները որպես անձնական կորուստներ ենք համարում՝ ողջ Արցախը եւ հայությունը, ես համոզված եմ: Նման կորուստները ընդհանրապես չեն մարսվում: Ինչ վերաբերում է ռազմաքաղաքական հարթությանը, որեւէ արտառոց բան տեղի չի ունեցել, այսինքն՝ հակառակորդը շարունակում է իր ապակառուցողական, ֆաշիստական, ահաբեկչական գործողությունները: Տեղի ունեցան ահաբեկչի պահվածքին վայել գործողություններ. թաքստոցներից, հեռու տեղերից կրակոցներ նռնականետերի, ականանետերի միջոցով, եւ երեք հոգի, պաշտպանելով հայրենիքի սահմանները, զոհվեցին»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց նա:
Դավիթ Բաբայանն ընդգծեց, որ նման գործողությունները միջազգային հանրության կողմից միանշանակ պետք է արժանանան համապատասխան գնահատականի:
«Ընդհանրապես, ոչ տրամաբանական օրինաչափություն գոյություն ունի. երբ համանախագահները պիտի գան տարածաշրջան, կամ այցի ժամանակ, կամ դրանից հետո հակառակորդը դիմում է այսպիսի աննորմալ քայլի: Գիտենք, որ համանախագահները մի քանի օրից պետք է լինեն Բաքվում. նրանք առաջին անգամ գնում են Բաքու վերջին կոշտ հայտարարությունից եւ երեկվա իրադարձությունից հետո: Կարեւոր է, որ նման հայտարարությունները պարբերական բնույթ ունենան, շարունակեն կոշտ լինել, որովհետեւ Ադրբեջանը փորձելու է այդ հայտարարությունը նսեմացնել: Այս անգամ ակնկալում ենք համանախագահների կողմից կոշտ վերաբերմունք Բաքվում»,-շեշտեց Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահի մամուլի խոսնակը:
Դավիթ Բաբայանի խոսքով՝ Ադրբեջանը միջազգային իրավունքի նկատմամբ որեւէ հարգանք չունի այնպես, ինչպես հանցագործը կամ ահաբեկիչը՝ օրենքի նկատմամբ:
«Նրանք իրենց սեփական օրենքները չեն հարգում, եւ իրենց օրենքները անմարդկային են, ինչպե՞ս կարող են հարգել միջազգային իրավունքը: Նրանք հարգում են ուժի իրավունքը, եւ դա երկու ձեւով պետք դրսեւորվի. մի ձեւով մենք ենք զսպում այստեղ, մյուս ձեւով էլ միջազգային հանրությունը պիտի զսպի»,-եզրափակեց նա:
