Եվրամիությունը մտահոգված է տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրադրությամբ: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այս մասին հայտարարեց Հայաստանում Եվրամիության պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին՝ անդրադառնալով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի համակարտության գոտու իրավիճակին:
«ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահները շատ լավ գործ են անում այս բավականին դժվար միջավայրում, որտեղ բազմաթիվ են մարտահրավերները: Մենք՝ որպես Եվրամիություն, մեր աջակցությունն ենք արտահայտում Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահությանը: Մի քանի օրվա ընթացքում՝ հուլիսի սկզբին, Հարավային Կովկասի հարցերով ԵՄ հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Հերբերտ Սալբերը լինելու է Հայաստանում: Նրա այցելությունն այստեղ ապացույցն է նրա, որ ԵՄ-ն մեծապես կարեւորում է եւ մտահոգ է նրանով, ինչ տեղի է ունենում այստեղ: Մեր հիմնական դերը միջնորդների ջանքերին աջակցելն է, բայց պատրաստ ենք նաեւ լրացուցիչ աջակցություն ցուցաբերել խաղաղության գործընթացին, այդ թվում հակամարտությանը հաջորդող վերականգնման շրջանում»,-ընդգծեց ԵՄ ղեկավարը:
Նա իր զորակցությունը հայտնեց օրերս ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում Ադրբեջանի կողմից դրսեւորված ագրեսիայի հետեւանքով զոհված զինծառայողների հարազատներին՝ շեշտելով, որ խաղաղության հաստատումը պետք է լինի տարածաշրջանի առաջնահերթություններից մեկը:
«Տխուր է, իհարկե, քանի որ խոսք է գնում մարդկային կորուստների մասին. նրանք երիտասարդներ են, ում ամբողջ կյանքը դեռ առջեւում էր: Ռեժիմի խախտման դեպքերը մտահոգիչ են, որովհետեւ այսպիսի խաղաղությունը կարող է շատ փխրուն լինել. եկեք փորձենք աշխատել հանուն խաղաղության ու չկորցնենք մեր հույսը»,-եզրափակեց Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին:
