ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանը հունիսի 20-ին ընդունել է Բելգիայի Սենատի անդամ Յորիս Պոշետին:
Ողջունելով Յորիս Պոշետին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովում՝ Արա Բաբլոյանը նշել է, որ հայ-բելգիական հարաբերությունները տարեցտարի զարգանում են՝ ամրապնդելով երկու ժողովուրդների բարեկամությունը: Անդրադառնալով Հայաստանի եւ Բելգիայի միջեւ առկա հարաբերություններին՝ Արա Բաբլոյանը նշել է, որ դրանք զարգացման մեծ ներուժ ունեն, սակայն փոխշահավետ համագործակցությունը ամբողջովին չի դրսեւորվում:
ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը կարեւորել է խորհրդարանական բարեկամական խմբերի գործունեությունը եւ նշել, որ Հայաստան-Բելգիա բարեկամական խումբն Ազգային ժողովում գործում է 2000 թվականից, իսկ նորընտիր խորհրդարանում շուտով կձեւավորվի նոր խումբ:
Արա Բաբլոյանը երախտագիտություն է հայտնել Բելգիայի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-ամյա տարելիցի կապակցությամբ ընդունված բանաձեւի համար՝ նշելով, որ դրանով ամբողջացավ Բելգիայի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման գործընթացը:
ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել Բելգիայի հայկական համայնքի դերը երկկողմ հարաբերությունների ակտիվացման եւ խորացման հարցում՝ նշելով, որ բելգիահայերն իրենց նպաստն ունեն նաեւ Բելգիայի զարգացման գործում: Այս համատեքստում ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել հանդիպմանը ներկա Եվրոպայի Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի ատենապետ Գասպար Կարապետյանին հայրենանվեր գործունեության համար:
Արա Բաբլոյանն իր խոսքում նշել է, որ Հայաստանն ընթանում է ժողովրդավարության զարգացման ուղիով՝ կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարը, խոսքի ազատությունը, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունն ունենալով որպես ուղենիշ:
Բելգիայի Սենատի անդամ Յորիս Պոշետը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ընդունելության համար, շնորհավորել է Արա Բաբլոյանին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ ընտրվելու կապակցությամբ: Պարոն Պոշետը նշել է, որ առավոտյան այցելել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր եւ տպավորված է, որ Ցեղասպանություն վերապրած ժողովուրդը, բարոյական կշիռ ունենալով աշխարհում, այսօր պայքարում է մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ու ժողովրդավարության զարգացման համար: Յորիս Պոշետի խոսքով՝ հայ ժողովրդի անցած ճանապարհը ազդակ է կայանալու եւ պայքարելու համար:
