Կատարի Էմիր շեյխ Թամիմ բեն Համադ ալ Թանին Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին ուղերձ Է հղել երկկողմ հարաբերությունների եւ Պարսից ծոցի ճգնաժամի կապակցությամբ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Al Jazeera հեռուստաալիքը հունիսի 21-ին հայտնել Է Twitter-ում: «Կատարի Էմիրը ուղերձ Է հղել Ռուսաստանի նախագահին երկկողմ հարաբերությունների եւ Պարսից ծոցի ճգնաժամի կապակցությամբ»,-ասված Է հաղորդագրության մեջ:
Հունիսի 13-ին Մոսկվայում տեղի են ունեցել Կատարի ԱԳ նախարար Մուհամեդ բեն Աբդել Ռահման ալ Թանիի բանակցությունները Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի հետ: Կատարի ԱԳՆ ղեկավարը շնորհակալություն Է հայտնել ՌԴ-ին արաբական երկրների հետ դիվանագիտական հակամարտության ֆոնին առաջարկված օգնության համար:
Սաուդյան Արաբիան, Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունները, Բահրեյնը եւ Եգիպտոսը հունիսի 5-ին խզել են դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները Դոհայի հետ եւ Կատարի հետ դադարեցրել բոլոր շփումները՝ նրան մեղադրելով ահաբեկչությանն աջակցելու եւ իրենց ներքին գործերին միջամտելու մեջ: Ավելի ուշ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները խզելու մասին հայտարարել են նաեւ Մալդիվները, Մավրիկիոսը, Մավրիտանիան:
Հորդանանը եւ Ջիբուտին նվազեցրել են իրենց դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունների մակարդակը Կատարում: Սենեգալը, Նիգերը եւ Չադը հայտարարել են դեսպաններին հետ կանչելու մասին: Կատարի շրջափակմանը չեն միացել Պարսից ծոցի երկրների համագործակցության խորհրդի մեջ մտնող երկու պետություններ՝ Քուվեյթը եւ Օմանի սուլթանությունը: Կատարը հերքել Է բոլոր մեղադրանքները եւ հայտարարել, որ պատասխան միջոցներ չի ձեռնարկելու, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
