Փոլ Գոբլ. Ռուսաստանը միշտ էլ պատրաստ է եղել դավաճանել Հայաստանին

«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Ղարաբաղյան հարցի հայտնի փորձագետներից մեկը` ամերիկացի վերլուծաբան Փոլ Գոբլը, որ ժամանակին եղել է ԱՄՆ-ի պետդեպարտամենտում ԽՍՀՄ ազգային հարցերով հատուկ խորհրդականը, համոզված է, որ մասնավորապես Ռուսաստանը ցանկանում է խաղաղապահ ուժեր մտցնել Ղարաբաղ, բայց դա կանի միայն որոշակի հանգամանքների առկայության դեպքում:
Գոբլը մեզ հետ հարցազրույցում հայտարարեց. «Մոսկվան ուզում է խաղաղապահներ մտցնել Ղարաբաղ, բայց դա տեղի կունենա միայն այն դեպքում, եթե շրջանը կրկին անցնի Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ»:
Ինչպես նախկինում, այնպես էլ հիմա Վաշինգտոնի Համաշխարհային քաղաքականության ինստիտուտի պրոֆեսորը պնդում է, որ Ռուսաստանը երբեք չի եղել Հայաստանի դաշնակիցը եւ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում կդավաճանի հայերին: Իսկ Արեւմուտքը, Գոբլի խոսքով, անհրաժեշտ լծակներ չունի տարածաշրջանում, հետեւաբար հակամարտության վերսկսման դեպքում «Արեւմուտքը հարցը կթողնի Մոսկվային»:
Հաշվի առնելով վերջին իրադարձությունները սահմանին` կարո՞ղ ենք ասել, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խնդրի շուրջ ստեղծվել է նոր իրավիճակ:
Այո, իրավիճակը փոխվել է, թեեւ փոփոխությունները տեղի ունեցան երկար սպասված հարացույցի շրջանակներում. Ռուսաստանը միշտ էլ պատրաստ է եղել դավաճանել Հայաստանին, եթե կարողանար համոզել Բաքվին՝ անցնել Մոսկվայի կողմը, ոչ թե Արեւմուտքի: Դա ունի ինչպես տնտեսական, այնպես էլ աշխարհաքաղաքական պատճառներ: Շատ հավանական է, որ դա տեղի ունենա այսօր, երբ Ռուսաստանի եւ Թուրքիայի հարաբերությունները սրվել են. Ադրբեջանը ընտրության քիչ հնարավորություն ունի, իսկ Հայաստանի կողքին գրեթե ոչ ոք չկա: Բացառություն է Իրանը, բայց դեպի Իրան թեքվելը Հայաստանը կարող է շատ վտանգավոր համարել»:
