Սիրիական ինքնաթիռի խոցման հնարավոր հետևանքներն, այնուամենայնիվ, զգուշության առիթ են տվել ամերիկյան իսթեբլիշմենթին: Երեկ FoxNews–ը հաղորդեց, թե Ռուսաստանը Հմեյմիմի իր ռազմաբազա է ներկրել երրորդ սերնդի ևս երկու հեռավոր ռադիոտեղորոշիչ հայտնաբերման Ա–50Ու ինքնաթիռներ, որոնք այժմ մշտական հսկողություն են սահմանում Սիրիայի երկնքում՝ հետախուզելով և, անհրաժեշտության դեպքում պատրաստ լինելով կոորդինացնել ռուսական հարվածային և կործանիչ ավիացիայի օպերացիաները՝ դրանց համար հրամանատարային կետեր դառնալով:
 
Հզորագույն այս ինքնաթիռը, որ ստացել է նաև Սերգեյ Աթայանց անվանումը՝ ի պատիվ այս դասի ինքնաթիռների նախագծման գործում մեծ ավանդ ունեցող հայազգի ավիանախագծողի, դեռ ապրիլից էր գործի դրվել՝ ապահովելով Սիրիայի կառավարական ուժերի առաջընթացը Դեյր–Էզ–Զորի շրջանում: Այժմ, փաստորեն, դրանց կարիքն ավելի է զգացվել, և սա նույնպես կարելի է ԱՄՆ–ին ուղղված ռուսական ցցուն պատասխան դիտարկել: Ավելին՝ Սիրիայի ռազմական գերատեսչությունը երեկ հետաքրքիր կադրեր հրապարակեց Թալիլի արգելոցը ԴԱԻՇ–ից ազատագրելու գործողություններից, որոնցում հստակ երևում էին օդից նրանց ուղեկցող ռուսական կործանիչները, և ներկայացվեց, թե նրանք կոորդինացվում են հենց վերոնշյալ ինքնաթիռի շնորհիվ: Ինչ վերաբերում է անմիջապես Թալիլին՝ պատգամը պարզ է. հաջորդ թիրախն, ուրեմն, Հոմսի Էս–Սուխնա քաղաքն է, որը ջիհադիստների՝ այս շրջանի ամենախոշոր հենակետն է:
 
Ինչպես երևում է՝ հենց այս զարգացումներով էր պայմանավորված ոչ միայն կոալիցիայի ինքնաթիռների դիսլոկացիան, այսինքն՝ ավելի անվտանգ վայր տեղափոխելու որոշումը, այլ ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի զարմանալի քայլը, որով երեկ դադարեցվեց անցած շաբաթ Սենատում ընդամենը երկու ձայնով դեմ քվեարկված՝ Ռուսաստանի և Իրանի դեմ շրջափակումների նոր նախագծի քննարկումը: Պալատն այս օրինագիծը հակասահմանադրական ճանաչեց՝ նոր հիմնավորումներ խնդրելով, և եթե դրանք չգտնվեն, հնարավոր է, ռուս–ամերիկյան երկխոսությունն ինչ–որ առումով կայանա, և սիրիական ինքնաթիռի և անօդաչուի խոցումից հետո ամենուրեք տիրաժավորվող տագնապալի կանխատեսումները չիրականանան:
 
Ի դեպ, NBC TV–ին, վկայակոչելով իսրայելական հետախուզական մարմիններին, պարզել է, որ խոցված անօդաչուն ոչ թե իրանական ծագման, այլ հենց իրանական է եղել: Իբր՝ դրանք տեղակայված են Աթ–Թանֆի ամերիկյան ռազմաբազայից ոչ հեռու տարածքում տեղակայված և բոլորովին վերջերս ձևավորված իրանական բազայում, որտեղ անմիջապես իրանցի օպերատորներն են ղեկավարում հետախուզական ու հարվածային գործառույթներով օժտված Շահադ անօդաչու սարքերը...
