ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ԱՄՆ-ի Կոնգրեսի Սենատի քննարկմանն Է ուղարկել Քրիստոֆեր Ռեյի թեկնածությունը, որն ավելի վաղ առաջադրվել Էր Հետաքննությունների դաշնային բյուրոյի (ՀԴԲ) տնօրենի պաշտոնի համար: Հունիսի 26-ին այս մասին հայտնել Է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի ծառայությունը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Ռեյի նշանակման մասին Միացյալ Նահանգների ղեկավարը պաշտոնապես հայտարարել Էր հունիսի 7-ին: ԱՄՆ-ի վարչակազմի ղեկավարը վստահություն Է հայտնել, որ Ռեյը, Սենատի կողմից նրա թեկնածությունը հաստատվելու դեպքում, «օրենքի անկոտրում պահապան» կդառնա:
Քրիստոֆեր Ռեյն իրավաբանական կրթություն Է ստացել Եյլի համալսարանում, 2003 – 2005 թվականներին (Ջորջ Բուշ Կրտսերի հանրապետական վարչակազմի օրոք) զբաղեցրել Է արդարադատության նախարարի, քրեական գործերով ԱՄՆ-ի գլխավոր դատախազի օգնականի պաշտոնը: Ներկայում King&Spalding իրավաբանական ֆիրմայի գործընկերն Է, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
