Գյումրիում նշվում է ՀՀ-ԱՄՆ հարաբերությունների 25-ամյակը

Գյումրիում նշվում է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության և Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև հարաբերությունների 25-ամյակը: ԱՄՆ Միջազգային զարգացման գործակալության (USAID/ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ) նախաձեռնությամբ Գյումրիում հուլիսի 2-ին անցկացվում են այդ հոբելյանին նվիրված հանրային միջոցառմներ։
Դրանք մեկնարկեցին Գյումրու Հովաննես Շիրազի հուշատուն-թանգարանից: Վայրի ընտրությունը պատահական չէր. 5-ամյա Հովհաննես Շիրազը, երբ զրկվել է հորից, մանկության օրերն անցկացրել է Ամերկոմի (Մերձավոր Արեւելքի ամերիկյան նպաստամատույց կոմիտե) որբանոցում: Ամերկոմը ձեւավորվել է 1918 թ. այդ տարածաշրջանում 1915 թվականից արդեն գործող ամերիկյան բարեգործական հաստատությունների՝ հայկական եւ սիրիական նպաստամատույց կոմիտեների միավորման արդյունքում, որը զբաղվել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից փրկված հազարավոր հայ որբերի խնամքով, կրթությամբ եւ դաստիարակությամբ: Հովաննես Շիրազի հուշատուն-թանգարանի տնօրեն Արա Պապանյանն այս մասին պատմող փաստաթուղթը հանձնեց Գյումրի այցելած ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ հայաստանյան առաքելության տնօրեն Դեբորա Գրիզերին:
«Այսօր նշում ենք հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների ստեղծման 25-ամյակը, սակայն մեր երկու ժողովուրդների բարեկամության պատմությունըշատ ավելի երկար է, քան այս 25 տարին»,- ասաց Շիրակի մարզպետ Արթուր Խաչատրյանը:
Ներկաները փաստում են՝ թեև հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների ստեղծման 25-ամյակն է նշվում, բայց այս երկու ժողովուրդների հարաբերությունները, բարեկամությունն ավելի երկար պատմություն ունի: Այսօր էլ ԱՄՆ-ի կառավարության ֆինանսական աջակցությամբ Հայաստանի տարբեր վայրերում, նաեւ Գյումրիում իրականացնում են դրամաշնորհային, բարեգործական բազմաթիվ ծրագրեր:
Միջոցառման շրջանակներում Գյումրիում անցկացվեց նաև ջազի վարպետության դաս և ֆիլմի ցուցադրություն, իսկ երեկոյան տեղի կունենա համերգ՝ Հայաստանի պետական ջազ- նվագախմբի և ԱՄՆ-ից ժամանած տաղանդավոր և հանրահայտ երգիչ Մայքլ Մեյոնի մասնակցությամբ։ Համերգը կազմակերպվում է «Ամերիկյան մշակութային շրջագայություն» ծրագրի շրջանակներում:
