Հայտնի է, թե ինչու էին Աղասի Իսպիրյանին մերժել ԱՄՆ մուտքի արտոնագիր տալ.

«Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը խստացրել է վերաբերմունքը հայ աստղերի՝ երգիչ-երգչուհիների նկատմամբ։ Պարզվում է՝ դեսպանատունը մերժել է ազգագրական երգիչ Աղասի Իսպիրյանի վիզայի հայտը, եւ առնվազն հինգ տարի երգիչը չի կարող մեկնել այդ երկիր։ Մինչդեռ նա 2008-2015թթ․ ազատ ելումուտ է արել ԱՄՆ։
Դեսպանատան հիմնավորումը եղել է այն, որ երգիչը երկիր է այցելում, բիզնես անում, սակայն հարկեր չի վճարում։ Նշենք, որ Աղասի Իսպիրյանն ԱՄՆ-ում հիմնականում հարսանիքների ժամանակ է երգում։ Նա հինգ տարվա մուտքի արգելանքի մասին վստահեցրել է, թե տեղեկություն չունի, սակայն հաստատել է, որ դեսպանատունը մերժել է իրեն։
«Ես անցած տարի սեպտեմբերին դիմեցի դեսպանատուն, որպեսզի ԱՄՆ-ում մասնակցեի Հայաստանի անկախության 25-ամյակի առիթով կազմակերպված միջոցառումներին, երկու-երեք երգ նվեր անեի սփյուռքի իմ հայրենակիցներին, ես ներկայացրի հանձնաժողովի հրավերը, 20 հոգի մարդ էր ինձ սպասում, Ներսիկի եւ Արաբոյի հետ պետք է երգեի, սակայն ինձ պատասխանեցին, որ իմ համար պետք է թղթեր հավաքեն, որակավորում ստանամ եւ նման այլ հիմնավորումներ»,- ասել է Աղասի Իսպիրյանը։
Իսկ չհարկվող բիզնես գործունեության մասին էլ հավելել է․ «Ես չկամ այդ բիզնեսների մեջ, աստղեր կան, որ բիզնես են անում, գնում փողեր են աշխատում, բայց ես ընդամենը բարեգործական համերգի էի գնում մասնակցելու։ Ես ազգագրական երգերով բիզնես չեմ անում, գուցե որեւէ միջոցառումից հետո ինձ ծրարով հոնորար են տալիս՝ որպես շնորհակալություն»։
Երգիչն ասել է, որ պատրաստվում է առաջիկայում եւս վիզայի թույլտվության հայտով դիմել դեսպանատուն, որպեսզի մասնակցի հորեղբոր՝ Ներսիկ Իսպիրյանի ստեղծագործական 35-ամյակի առիթով ԱՄՆ-ում անցկացվելիք միջոցառմանը»:
