Հայկական կերպարվեստը ծանր եւ անդառնալի կորուստ կրեց:

2017 թվականի հուլիսի 6-ին 86 տարեկան հասակում կյանքից հեռացավ ՀՀ ժողովրդական նկարիչ, քանդակագործ Արտուշ (Արտաշես) Հովսեփյանը:

Արտուշ Ավագի Հովսեփյանը ծնվել է 1931 թվականի հունիսի 22-ին, Սյունյաց աշխարհի Սառնակունք գյուղում: 1954 թվականին ընդունվել է Երեւանի Փ. Թերլեմեզյանի անվան ուսումնարան, որի երկրորդ կուրսից իր ուսուցչի` Ղուկաս Չուբարյանի հորդորով տեղափոխվել է

Լենինգրադ ( Սանկտ Պետերբուրգ)` ուսանելու Ի. Ռեպինի անվան գեղանկարչության, քանդակագործության եւ ճարտարապետության ինստիտուտում:

Նրա առավել հայտնի աշխատանքների թվին է պատկանում Ալեքսանդր Թամանյանի արձանը (1974, Երեւան, ճարտարապետ` Սեդա Պետրոսյան), Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու որմնաքանդակները (1975, Երեւան, ճարտարապետ` Ռաֆայել Իսրայելյան), Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Վեհարանի բակի խաչքարը (1975), Սիսիան քաղաքի մուտքի արծիվը (1975), Երեւանի կոնյակի գործարանի որմնաքանդակները (1975-1993), Կ. Դեմիրճյանի անվան Երեւանի Մետրոպոլիտենի «Սասունցի Դավիթ» կայարանի որմնաքանդակները (1981), կոմպոզիտոր Արմեն Տիգրանյանի արձանը (1987, ճարտարապետ` Ֆենիքս Դարբինյան), գիտնականներ Օրբելի եղբայրների հուշարձանը (1988, ք. Ծաղկաձոր, ճարտարապետ` Ռոմեո Ջուլհակյան):

Արտաշես Հովսեփյանը ստեղծել է նաեւ դիմաքանդակների հոյակերտ շարք, ինչպես նաեւ գրաֆիկական աշխատանքներ: Արվեստագետի վերջին ստեղծագործություններից մեկը արձակագիր Հրանտ Մաթեւոսյանի արձանն է` գրողի անունը կրող դպրոցի բակում (2013թ., Երեւան):

ՀՀ վարչապետի որոշմամբ ստեղծվել է Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի հուղարկավորության կազմակերպման կառավարական հանձնաժողով:

Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի հոգեհանգստի արարողությունը տեղի կունենա հուլիսի 10-ին, ժամը 18:00-20:00- ը, Կոնդի Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցում:

Վերջին հրաժեշտը` հուլիսի 11-ին, ժամը 13:00-14:00- ը Հայաստանի նկարիչների միության շենքում (Աբովյան 16)։ Հուղարկավորությունը` Երեւանի քաղաքային պանթեոնում:
