Ըստ առկա տեղեկությունների՝ ստորգետնյա ցնցումների էպիկենտրոնը գտնվել է Չիրիկովա կղզուց 95 կմ հյուսիս-արեւուտք։ Օջախը գտնվել է 62 կմ խորության վրա, գրում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։
