Գիտնականներն օգտագործել են հայտնի «մեծ հնգյակի» մեթոդը՝ վեր հանելու համար այն մարդկանց մտավոր առանձնահատկությունները, ում դուր է գալիս տանն առավելագույնս առանց հագուստի լինել։ Ինչպես հայտնի է, գոյություն ունի 5 հիմնական գործոն, որոնք որոշում են մարդու անձնային առանձնահատկությունները՝ էքստրավերսիա, բարեխղճություն, նեյրոտիզմ, փորձի նկատմամբ բաց լինելու աստիճան և բարյացակամություն։
Հետազոտության ընթացքում դիտարկվել են բազմաթիվ մարդկանց սովորությունները։ Ըստ դրա արդյունքների՝ բարյացակամ մարդիկ, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, երգում են լոգանք ընդունելիս։
Էքստրավերտները մեքենա վարելու ընթացքում ավելի հաճախ են խոսում հեռախոսով, քան ինտրավերտները։ Ըստ հոգեբանների՝ բարեխիղճ մարդիկ նախաճաշին գերադասում են կծու մթերք օգտագործել։
Հետազոտողներին ավելի շատ հետաքրքրել է այն հանգամանքը, որ մարդիկ, ովքեր առանձնանում են բարձր ինտելեկտուալ կարողություններով, սիրում են առավելագույնս առանց հագուստի լինել տանը։
