Դատախազությունը և իրավապահ համակարգն ավելի շատ պետք է իրավապաշտպան գործունեություն իրականացնեն. ես խորը համոզմունք ունեմ, որ դրա հիմքերն առկա են և՛ իրավական տեսակետից, և՛ բարոյական:
«Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանի եթերում այսպիսի տեսակետ է հայտնել ՄԻԵԴ-ում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչ, նախկին գլխավոր դատախազ, ԱԺ պատգամավոր Գևորգ Կոստանյանը:
Նա նշել է, որ եթե նախկինում Հայաստանը կարող էր ակնկալել Եվրոպական դատարանի վճիռ 6-7-8 տարի հետո, այժմ այն կարող է ակնկալել 1 տարի հետո:
«Կարող ենք վճիռ ունենալ, օրինակ՝ ՊՊԾ գունդը գրաված անձանց, Սեֆիլյանի և այլոց գործերով, տարիուկես հետո: Մենք հնարավորություն կունենանք տեսնել նաև միջազգային դատարանների դիրքորոշումը»,-ասել է ՄԻԵԴ-ում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչը:
Բայց մինչև այդ, ըստ նրա, երբ որ հայցերը ներկայացնում են Եվրոպական դատարան, ինքն արդեն որպես Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչ, այդ գործերն ուսումնասիրում է և տեսնում, թե այդ նույն կալանքի միջնորդությունն արդյո՞ք բավարար հիմնավորված էր, թե չէ:
«Բոլոր դեպքերում և՛ դատախազը, և՛ ոստիկանը, և՛ դատարանն արդեն ենթակա են լինելու պատասխանատվության՝ կարգապահական, իսկ առավել ծանր արարքներ կատարելու դեպքում՝ նաև քրեական»,-նշել է Գևորգ Կոստանյանը:
