1. Տղամարդու հետ խոսելիս նախ աշխատեք անդրադառնալ ամենագլխավորին, ապա նոր երկրորդական մանրամասներին: Երբ կինը խախտում է այս օրենքը, տղամարդը դադարում է նրան լսել:
2. Տղամարդը կնոջից ավելի հաճախ է ընդմիջում դիմացինի խոսքը: Մի՛ լռեք և կուլ մի՛ տվեք վիրավորանքը: Հանգիստ, բայց հաստատակամ ապացուցեք, որ դուք ճիշտ եք: ‹‹… ես խոսում էի այն մասին, որ...››, ‹‹…կներես, բայց ես չեմ ավարտել խոսքս…›› և այլն:
3. ‹‹Ես կարծում եմ›› դարձվածքը գերադասելի է ‹‹Ես զգում եմ›› դարձվածքից: ‹‹Կարծում եմ, որ դու խիստ անզուսպ ես›› դատողությունը հնչում է որպես սառնարյուն դիտողություն, իսկ ‹‹ Զգում եմ, որ դու բավականաչափ զուսպ չես››՝ ընկալվում է որպես խեղճ ու կրակ մի գանգատ:
4. Հաշտվեք այն իրողության հետ, որ տղամարդիկ ավելի շատ օգտագործում են գոյականներ և բայեր, իսկ կանայք՝ ածականներ և մակբայներ: Եթե տղամարդն ասում է ‹‹ լավ է ››, հաշվեք, որ նա արել է մեծ հաճոյախոսություն և մի փորձեք նրանից լսել գերադրական աստիճանի ածական:
5. Բարձր մի խոսեք և նախադասությունն ավարտելիս ձայնը մի բարձրացրեք, մանավանդ եթե խոսքը վերաբերում է կարևոր և ձեզ հուզող հարցի: Որքան էլ հուզված լինեք այդ պահին, հիշեք, որ նախադասության վերջում բարձրացնելով ձայնը, այն համարյա դարձնում եք հարցական նախադասություն: Մինչդեռ ձայնի ցածրացումը ձեր տոնին հաղորդում է վստահություն և համոզվածություն: Բացի այդ, մշտական հարցական ինտոնացիան թողնում է հարցաքննության տպավորություն:
6. Նախօրոք երբեք մի՛ բռնեք պաշտպանողական դիրքորոշում: Խուսափեք անգամ ձևականորեն ներողություն խնդրելուց այն բանի համար, որը ոչ մի կապ չունի ձեզ հետ և դուք պատասխանատու չեք դրա համար:
7. Հաշտվեք այն մտքի հետ, որ միշտ և ամեն ինչում պետք չէ համաձայնել դիմացինի հետ: Կարծիքների տարբերությունը տղամարդու հետ շատ կանայք համարում են բաժանման սկիզբը: Դա ճիշտ չէ: Տղամարդիկ հարգում են հպարտ և ինքնասեր կանանց, իսկ հարգանքը վերջին հաշվով փոխակերպվում է սիրո:
8. Տղամարդը տանել չի կարողանում երեկոյան բանավեճը: Նա համարում է, որ արդարացի չէ, երբ ինքը հոգնած գալիս է տուն, կինը վիճում է իր հետ: Հետո, նա դա գնահատում է որպես առանձին քնելու ազդանշան կնոջ կողմից:
