 Հանրապետության Նախագահ, Զինված ուժերի գերագույն գլխավոր հրամանատար Սերժ Սարգսյանը հուլիսի 13-ին առավոտյան աշխատանքային այցով մեկնել է Տավուշի մարզ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից:


Նախագահը այցելել է հյուսիսարևելյան սահմանագոտու մարտական դիրքերից մեկը՝ շրջայց կատարել մարտական հենակետում և ծանոթացել ծառայության անցկացման ու զինվորների կենցաղային պայմաններին, ինժեներական և ամրաշինական կառույցների, մարտական պատրաստականության վիճակին: Հանրապետության Նախագահը նվերներով խրախուսել է ծառայության ընթացքում անձնվիրությամբ և խիզախությամբ աչքի ընկած մի խումբ սպաների և զինվորների: Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել հայրենիքի պաշտպաններին, մաղթել նրանց հաջողություն, բարի ծառայություն և ընդգծել, որ նրանց բարեխիղճ ծառայությունը մեծապես գնահատվում է և նրանց շնորհիվ մեր ժողովուրդը կարողանում է հանգիստ ապրել, աշխատել և զարգացնել մեր հայրենիքը:

Սերժ Սարգսյանն այնուհետև մասնակցել է Իջևանում տեղակայված զորամասի նոր մշտական տեղակայման վայրի բացման հանդիսավոր արարողությանը, որտեղ ելույթներով հանդես են եկել պաշտպանության նախարարը, զորամասի հրամանատարը, ԶՈՒ հոգևոր առաջնորդը, պարտադիր ժամկետային զինծառայողներից մեկը: Նորակառույց զինավանի բացմանը նվիրված միտինգից և հանդիսավոր երթից հետո Հանրապետության Նախագահը շրջայց է կատարել զորանոցում, ծանոթացել պայմաններին, զրուցել անձնակազմի հետ և զինվորական ճաշարանում ճաշել զինվորների ու հրամանատարների հետ: 

Նույն օրը պաշտպանության նախարարության Դիլիջանի «Լեռնային Հայաստան» առողջարանում Նախագահը հարցազրույց է տվել «Արմենիա» հեռուստաընկերության «Ռ-Էվոլյուցիա» հաղորդաշարին:
