Ազատ ոճի ըմբշամարտի 2013 թ. աշխարհի ու Եվրոպայի չեմպիոն Դավիթ Սաֆարյանը վերսկսել է մարզումները: Ռիոյի ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերից հետո ըմբիշը որոշակի դադար էր վերցրել:
«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` այս մասին գրում է ՀԱՕԿ-ը: «Ռիոյից հետո որոշեցի հանգստանալ, վնասվածքներ ունեի: Բացի այդ ցանկանում էի գորգից մի որոշ ժամանակ հեռու մնալ, բավական քաշ էի կորցրել: Արդեն մի քանի ամիս է մարզվում եմ Ռուսաստանում: Առաջիկայում մրցաշարերի չեմ մասնակցի, պարզապես լավ մարզավիճակ ձեռք կբերեմ: 2018 թվականի հունվարից հետո ըմբշամարտի կանոններում փոփոխություններ են լինելու, նաեւ հնարավոր է քաշային կարգերը փոխվեն: Այնպես որ, չեմ շտապում: Ցանկացած պահի կարող եմ վերադառնալ մեծ սպորտ»,- նշել է Դավիթ Սաֆարյանը:
Դավիթը տեղեկացրեց, որ միշտ կապի մեջ է ֆեդերացիայի գլխավոր քարտուղար Արայիկ Բաղդադյանի հետ: Հնարավոր է` հավաքների ընթացքում միանա ընդհանուր թիմին: Սակայն, հստակ ժամանակ չկա:
