1. Հպումները հատկապես անհրաժեշտ են շփման ընթացքում

Հայտնի է, որ մարդը սոցիալական էակ է։ Հենց այդ պատճառով հպումներն այլ մարդկանց հետ նրա շփմնան անքակտելի մասն են։ Որպես կանոն՝ հպումներն անհրաժեշտ են այս կամ այն հույզը մեկ այլ մարդու հետ կիսելու համար։ Աշխատեք հիշել՝ ե՞րբ եք վերջին անգամ հպվել մեկ այլ մարդու ձեռքին։ Հնարավոր է՝ այդ պահին դուք միեւնույն կատակի վրա եք ծիծաղել։ Հպումները խոսում են զրուցակիցների միջեւ սերտ կապի մասին։ 

2. Հպումներն անհրաժեշտ են մյուսների հետ ամուր կապեր ստեղծելու համար

Մեր ֆիզիկականը կարողանում ենք զգալ հույզերի շնորհիվ։ Օրինակ՝ որովայնի հատվածում ծանրություն զգում ենք տագնապի պահերին, մեջքի հատվածում սառնության զգացողությունը լինում է վախի ժամանակ։ 
Մեր մարմնի ներսում ունեցած զգացողությունները ամուր կապ են ստեղծում մեր եւ մեզ շրջապատող աշխարհի, սոցիումի միջեւ։ 
Եթե զրույցի ժամանակ դուք դրական եք տրամադրված ձեր զրուցակցի նկատմամբ, իսկ նրա կողմից ձեզ հպվելու ոչ մի դրսեւորում չեք նկատում, հնարավոր է, դուք նրա համար հետաքրքրություն չեք ներկայացնում։ 
Հպումները ակնարկում են, որ այդ մարդը ձեզ դուր է գալիս։ Ըստ գիտնականների՝ դիմացինին հպումը կարող է պատասխան բուռն հույզեր առաջացնել։ 
Համաձայնեք, որ հաճելի է, երբ ձեր մտերիմ մարդը ձեզ է հպվում։ Եվ մի փոքր անհանգստության զգացում է ձեզ պատում, երբ այդ հպումները պատկանում են անծանոթի։ Իրականում հպումների նպատակն է ջերմ հարաբերություններ ստեղծելը, դա նաեւ փոխգործակցության միջոց է։

3. Հպումներն անհրաժեշտ են ցանկալին ստանալու համար

Հպումները մարդկանց համոզելու եւ ցանկացածին հասնելու հզոր միջոց են։ Դրանք ընդգծում են ձեր խոսքերի կարեւորությունն ու ուշադրություն հրավիրում այն բանի վրա, ինչ պետք է անել։ Հպվելով մարդու ձեռքին կամ ուսին՝ դուք ասում եք. «Ուշադրություն դարձրու»։
