Գիտնականները թերաճ օրգան են համարում մարմնի այն մասերը, որոնք ժամանակի ընթացքում կորցրել են իրենց ֆունկցիան, բայց դեռ պահպանված են մարդու օրգանիզմում:
Թերաճ օրգանների վառ օրինակներ են կույրաղիքը, սագամաշկը, իմաստության ատամները, նշիկները, տղամարդու պտուկները և արտաքին ականջը:
Հնում մարմնի այս հատվածները կարևոր ֆունկցիաներ էին կատարում մարդու օրգանիզմում, բայց այսօր դրանցում ոչ մի անհրաժեշտություն չկա:
Ինչպե՞ս հետևել սեփական օրգանիզմի էվոլյուցիային: Ամեն ինչ շատ հեշտ է: Ձեռքերը դրեք հարթ մակերևույթի վրա՝ ափերը դեպի վեր: Իրար կպցրեք բութ մատը և ճկույթը, իսկ հետո մի փոքր վեր բարձրացրեք:
