Թուրքիայում վեց իրավապաշտպանների կալանավորելու մասին որոշումը արդարադատության նկատմամբ մեծ վիրավորանք է: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին հայտնում է հայտարարություն է տարածել միջազգային Amnesty International կազմակերպությունը, ում անդամ անդամներ ևս կալանավորված են:
«Թուրք դատախազները 12 օր ունեին ակնհայտ փաստերն արձանագրելու համար. այս ակտիվիստներն անմեղ են: Նրանց անազատության մեջ պահելու որոշումը ևս մեկ անգամ ցույց է տալիս, որ ճշմարտությունն ու արդարությունը Թուրքիայում օտարված են»,- նշել է Amnesty International-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Սալիլ Շեթին:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ սա օրինական չէ, քաղաքական շարժառիթներով հետապնդում է, որը վտանգավոր ապագա է կանխորոշում Թուրքիայում իրավունքների համար:
«Այսօր մենք հասկացանք, որ մարդու իրավունքների համար պայքարելը Թուրքիայում հանցանք է համարվում: Եկել է ճշմարտության պահը Թուրքիայի և միջազգային հասարակության համար: Աշխարհի առաջնորդները պետք է դադարեցնեն կծել լեզուն և շարունակեն իրենց գործերն այնպես, ասես ոչինչ տեղի չի ունեցել»,- հայտարարել է Շեթին՝ կոչ անելով ճնշում գործադրել Թուրքիայի իշխանությունների վրա՝ անմիջապես դադարեցնելու հետապնդումներն ու ազատ արձակելու իրավապաշտպաններին:
Ստամբուլում հուլիսի 5–ին ձերբակալված տասն իրավապաշտպաններից վեցը կալանավորվել են, չորսը՝ ազատ արձակվել:
Իրավապաշտպանները մեղադրվում են «ահաբեկչական խմբավորման անդամ լինելու» մեջ: Ձերբակալվածների շարքում են միջազգային Amnesty International կազմակերպության Թուրքիայի գրասենյակի ղեկավար Իդիլ Էսերն ու նույն կազմակերպության աշխատակից Վելի Աջուն:
Միացյալ Նահանգները ևս մտահոգություն է հայտնել կատարվածի առնչությամբ՝ կոչ անելով ազատել իրավապաշտպաններին ու պահպանել Թուրքիայի սահմանադրությամբ երաշխավորված ազատությունները:
