ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարար Սուրեն Կարայանն ընդունել է Եվրոպայում և Մերձավոր Արևելքում ԱՄՆ առևտրի ներկայացուցչի տեղակալ Դանիել Մուլլանիին և նրա գլխավորած պատվիրակության ներկայացուցիչներին: Հանդիպմանը մասնակցել են ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Գարեգին Մելքոնյանը, նախարարության այլ պաշտոնյաներ: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից:
Նախարար Կարայանը ողջունելով հյուրերին, նշել է`
«Ուրախ եմ հանդիպելու Ձեզ հետ, և քննարկելու մեր հետագա համատեղ զարգացմանն ուղղված քայլերը, մենք մեծ ճանապարհ ունենք անցնելու, որովհետև այն ներուժը, որ կա մեր երկրների տնտեսական հարաբերություններում ամբողջովին իրացված չէ և մենք հակված ենք, որպեսզի ավելի ինտենսիվ իրար հետ աշխատենք: Մենք շատ շահագրգռված ենք, որպեսզի ամերիկյան ներդրումներ լինեն Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում և պատրաստ ենք մեծ ներդրումային ծրագրերի համար քննարկել հատուկ բարենպաստ ռեժիմները»:
Նախարարը նաև պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել ՀՀ և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև ստորագրված Առևտրի և ներդրումների շրջանակային համաձայնագրի (TIFA) շրջանակներում շատ ակտիվ քննարկումներ ունենալ հատկապես այն հարցերի շուրջ, որոնցով հետաքրքրված են ամերիկյան բիզնեսի ներկայացուցիչները, և տալ այնպիսի լուծումներ, որ ԱՄՆ բիզնեսի համար ավելի հեշտ լինի մուտքը Հայաստան:
«Մենք անչափ կարևորում ենք Հայաստանի հետ մեր տնտեսական հարաբերությունները: Ես և իմ թիմը ժամանել ենք Հայաստան մեր երկրների միջև ստորագրված առևտրի և ներդրումների շրջանակային համաձայնագրի շրջանակում դիտարկելու երկկողմ առևտրի ու ներդրումների ընդլայնման ուղիները, որը երկուստեք շահավետ կլինի մեր տնտեսությունների համար», - նշել է Եվրոպայի ու Մերձավոր Արևելքի գծով ԱՄՆ առևտրի ներկայացուցչի տեղակալ Լ.Դանիել Մուլանին:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են ՀՀ և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև ստորագրված Առևտրի և ներդրումների շրջանակային համաձայնագրի (TIFA) շրջանակներում տարվող աշխատանքների վերաբերյալ հարցեր:
Մասնավորապես անդրադարձ է կատարվել ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարության համակարգմամբ աշխատանքային խմբերում ութ ուղղություններով իրականացվող աշխատանքներին և քննարկումներին` առևտուր և ներդրումներ, առևտրի տեխնիկական խոչընդոտներ, սանիտարական և բուսասանիտարական հարցեր, մաքսային հարցեր, մտավոր սեփականության իրավունք, բարեփոխումներ աշխատանքի ոլորտում, բնապահպանություն, պետական գնումների ոլորտ և այլն:
Հատկապես կարևորվել է երկու երկրների միջև գործարար կապերի ակտիվացումը: Նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Գ.Մելքոնյանը նշել է, որ հարկավոր է ակտիվացնել համագործակցությունը, երկխոսության ապահովման ճանապարհով, հատկապես այն ուղղություններով, որոնք իրենց հետ կբերեն ԱՄՆ բիզնեսի հետ հարաբերությունների ակտիվացման և ավելացրել, որ բիզնեսների միջև կապը TIFA-ի շրջանակներում քննարկվող ամենակարևոր ուղղություններից մեկն է:Նա նաև կարևորել է առաջիկայում համատեղ նիստի անցկացման հնարավորությունը:
Համաձայնագրով հիմնված Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ առևտրի և ներդրումների հարցերով խորհուրդը հայկական կողմից նախագահում է ՀՀ տնտեսական զարգացման և ներդրումների նախարարությունը, իսկ ամերիկյան կողմից` ԱՄՆ առևտրի ներկայացուցչի գրասենյակը:
