2015 թվականի մայիսի 18-ին Կուբայի առափնյա պահպանության ծառայությունը հայտնաբերեց մի նավ, որի անձնակազմը բացակայում էր։ Ենթադրվում է, որ դա SS. Cotopaxi նավն է, որն անհետ կորել էր 1925 թվականի դեկտեմբերին։

Կուբայի իշխանություններն առաջին անգամ նկատել էին նավը 2015 թվականի մայիսի 16-ին, երբ այն անսպասելիորեն հայտնվել էր նավավարության համար արգելված գոտում, որը գտնվում է Հավանայից արևելք։

In the Bermuda Triangle emerged ship disappeared 90 years ago 1.jpgՆավի անձնակազմի հետ կապվելու բազմաթիվ անհաջող փորձերից հետո նավի մոտ ուղարկեցին 3 հսկիչ զբոսանավեր, որպեսզի պարզեն, թե ինչ նավ է դա, և ինչու անձնակազմը չի պատասխանում։ Երբ զբոսանավերը հասան տեղ, դրանց անձնակազմերը խիստ զարմացան՝ հայտնաբերելով մի հին նավ, որը կառուցվել էր շուրջ 100 տարի առաջ և գրանցված էր որպես «Կոտոպաքսի». այն Բերմուդյան եռանկյունու լեգենդներից մեկը դարձած անհետացած նավերից մեկի անվանումն է։ Բացի դրանից, կար ևս մեկ ոչ պակաս առեղծվածային դրվագ. նավում բացարձակապես ոչ ոք չկար, իսկ ինտերիերն այնպիսի տեսք ուներ, ասես տասնամյակներ շարունակ այստեղ ոչ ոք չէր եղել։ Այդ ամենը վկայում էր այն մասին, որ նրանք գործ ունեն հենց այն նավի հետ, որն անհետացել էր 90 տարի առաջ։

Նավի մանրակրկիտ հետազոտության արդյունքում հայտնաբերվեց նավապետի օրագիրը, որը, սակայն, ոչ մի հուշում չտվեց, թե ինչ է իրականում կատարվել 90 տարի առաջ։ Կուբացի փորձագետ Ռուդոլֆո Կուրս Սալվադորը համարում է, որ օրագիրն իրական է, և դրա մեջ առկա են անձնակազմի ու նրանց առօրյայի վերաբերյալ արժեքավոր տեղեկություններ, ինչպես նաև հաղորդում է բազմաթիվ ուշագրավ մանրամասների մասին, որոնք տեղ են գտել մինչև նավի անհետացումը՝ 1925 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 1-ը։

Ըստ նավամատյանի՝ SS. Cotopaxi-ն լքել է Հարավային Կարոլինա նահանգի Չարլսթոն նավահանգիստը 1925 թվականի նոյեմբերի 29-ին, ու այդ պահի դրությամբ նավում եղել է 32 նավաստուց բաղկացած անձնակազմ՝ նավապետ Մայերի ղեկավարությամբ, ինչպես նաև 2340 տոննա ածուխ, որը պետք է հասցվեր Կուբա։

Մեկնելուց 2 օր հետո նավն անհետացավ, և դրա մասին ոչինչ հայտնի չէր հետագա 90 տարիների ընթացքում։ Կուբայի նախարարների խորհրդի փոխնախագահ Աբելարդո Կոլոմեն հայտարարել է, որ երկրի իշխանությունները հետաքննություն կանցկացնեն, որպեսզի փորձեն պարզել այն այս նավին պարուրած առեղծվածը։

Բերմուդյան եռանկյունին իր մեջ ներառում է Մայամիի, Պուերտո-Ռիկոյի և Բերմուդյան կղզիների միջև ընկած տարածքը։ Հայտնի էր, որ այս շրջանում առեղծվածային պայմաններում անհետացել են տասնյակ նավեր ու ինքնաթիռներ։ Բազմաթիվ գիտնականներ ու ուֆոլոգներ համարում են, որ այս անհետացումները տարբեր ու տարատեսակ պատճառներ կարող են ունենալ՝ ընդհուպ մինչև այլմոլորակայինների միջամտություն։ Սակայն, այսքանով հանդերձ, գիտական աշխարհի ճնշող մեծամասնությունը գտնում էր, որ Բերմուդյան եռանկյունում որևէ անոմալիաներ չկան, և բոլոր առեղծվածային անհետացումները նրանք կապում են մարդկային գործոնի և բնության արհավիրքների հետ։

Այս հավերժ վեճի մեջ որոշակի պարզություն ու նոր շունչ կարող է մտցնել հենց SS. Cotopaxi նավի հայտնաբերումը, և դա կարող է հանգեցնել նրան, որ շատ փորձագետներ վերանայեն հարցի շուրջ ունեցած իրենց դիրքորոշումները։
