Ֆուտբոլի Հայաստանի ազգային թիմի և Դորտմունդի «Բորուսիա»-ի կսապաշտպան Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանը Sport-express պարբերականին տված հարցազրույցում խոսել է ազգային հավաքականի անհաջող ելույթների, «Բորուսիա»-ում իր կարևորության և ադրբեջանական «Գաբալա»-ի հետ հանդիպմանն իր հնարավոր մասնակցության մասին:
«Խաղադաշտում ես տալիս եմ ամբողջ ուժերս, օգնում եմ թիմակիցներիս գոլը խփել, նրանք էլ փոխադարձ. ի վերջո, միմյանց օգնելով, օգնում ենք թիմին հաղթանակի հասնել: Հիմա «Բորուսիա»-ում ինձ մոտ կարծես թե ամեն ինչ ստացվում է: Թիմակիցներս օգնում են ինձ ցույց տալու իմ լավագույն խաղը: Կարևոր է նաև այն, որ մրցաշրջանի հենց սկզբից գոլեր եմ խփում»,- ասել է Մխիթարյանը:
Խոսելով «Գաբալա»-ի հետ առաջիկա խաղի մասին հայ կիսապաշտպանը, մասնավորապես, ասել է. «Անձնագիրս ինձ մոտ չէ, լավ կլինի, որ հարցնեք ղեկավարությանը, ես պատրաստվում եմ»:
Մխիթարյանի կարծիքով` Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային թիմն ունի մի երազանք` մասնակցել Եվրոպայի և աշխարհի առաջնությանը: «Ես հիասթափված եմ, քանի որ այս մրցաշրջանում հավաքեցինք միայն երկու միավոր, իսկ չորս տարի առաջ մենք իսկապես լավ հնարավորություն ունեինք մասնակցելու Եվրոպայի առաջնությանը: Երևանում քիչ հանդիսական էր եկել մարզադաշտ Ալբանիայի հետ խաղին` հասկանալի պատճառներով: Երկրպագուները հիասթափված են, քանի որ պարտվել ենք գրեթե բոլոր խաղերում: Ամեն ինչ անելու ենք նրանց հավատը վերականգնելու համար»,-շեշտել է Մխիթարյանը:
Ֆուտբոլի Հայաստանի ազգային թիմը Եվրոպայի առաջնության ընտրական փուլում հավաքեց 2 միավոր և մրցաշարային աղյուսակում զբաղեցրեց վերջին հորիզոնականը:
