Կոնգրեսի հանձնաժողովը հաստատել է Սիրիայից փախստականներ ընդունող երկրներին օժանդակություն տրամադրող օրինագիծը

ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի հատկացումների հանձնաժողովը հաստատել է 2018թ-ի ֆինանսական տարվա համար արտաքին գործողությունների և հարակից ծրագրերի համար նախատեսվող բյուջետային հատկացումների վերաբերյալ օրինագիծը: Օրինագիծը նախատեսում է առաջիկա տարվա համար նշված գործողությունների համար տրամադրել 47.4 միլիարդ դոլար: Փաստաթղթում պահպանվում է Ազատությանն աջակցության ակտի 907 հոդվածը, ինչպես նաև ներառվել են դրույթներ Սիրիայից փախստականներ ընդունող երկրներին օգնություն տրամադրելու վերաբերյալ:
Փաստաթղթում շեշտվում է, որ հավելյալ օգնություն է տրամադրվելու «Սիրիայում և հարակից երկրներում խոցելի բնակչությանն» օժանդակելու համար, մասնավորապես Սիրիայից փախստականներին, քրիստոնյաներին և այլ փոքրամասնություններին, որոնք տուժել են Սիրիայում քաղաքացիական պատերազմի և «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման գործողությունների արդյունքում: Հանձնաժողովը մտահոգություն է հայտնել նաև Սիրիայում մարդկանց տեղահանության և դրա արդյունքում «հյուրընկալ համայնքների վրա դրված բեռի» առնչությամբ:
Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հանձնաժողովի կողմից օրինագծի հաստատումը ողջունել է նաև Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարը: «Մինչ օրս Հայաստանը հյուրընկալել է շուրջ 22000 փախստականների Սիրիայից, ովքեր փախուստի են դիմել են ընտանիքներով: Սիրիայում իրավիճակի վատթարացմանը զուգահեռ, Հայաստանն ապաստան է դարձել հետապնդվող քրիստոնյաների և Մերձավոր Արևելքում ցեղասպանության ու այլ բռնությունների վտանգի առջև կանգնած խմբերի համար: Հումանիտար ճգնաժամը Սիրիայում խորանում է, ուստի մենք պետք է վստահանանք, որ հումանիտար օժանդակությունը հասնում է կարիք ունեցողների, որոնց թվում է նաև Հայաստանը, որը դարձել է փախստականների վերահաստատման վայր»,- նշել է Ամերիկայի հայկական համագումարի գործադիր տնօրեն Բրայան Արդունին:
