В тюрьмах России находятся более двух тысяч граждан Азербайджана

В тюрьмах России отбывают наказание 29 397 иностранных граждан, и 90% от этого числа - за тяжкие и особо тяжкие преступления, сообщает RT. 

В 2016 году в исправительных учреждениях России содержались 29 822 выходца из-за рубежа, тогда как в 2015 году — 28 714 человек.

По сведениям Федеральной службы исполнения наказаний, среди заключенных находятся 12 граждан США и 97 граждан стран ЕС.

Среди стран СНГ  первое место в данном показателе принадлежит Таджикистану – 8002 чел. Второе занимает Узбекистан - 6362 чел., а третье - Украина - 4761 чел.

Азербайджанцев, отбывающих наказание в российских тюрьмах, 2350 чел., и это - четвертый показатель среди стран СНГ.
