Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության կոշտ դիրքորոշումով պայմանավորված՝ Ադրբեջանը հայտնվել է անելանելի վիճակում: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` հուլիսի 25-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ այս մասին նշեց Ազգային Ժողովի պատգամավոր Հայկ Բաբուխանյանը:

«Ադրբեջանը հայտնվել է անելանելի վիճակում, որովհետև վերջին շրջանում Ռուսաստանը բավականին կոշտ դիրքորոշում է ցուցաբերել այդ երկրի նկատմամբ: Դա նախ և առաջ Ռուսաստանի արտգործնախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի կողմից Ադրբեջանին  հիշեցումն է, որ Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման հարցը Ադրբեջանի ներքին խնդիրը չէ, և Ռուսաստանի արտգործնախարարության հայտարարությունները այն մասին , որ ադրբեջանական կողմը դադարեցնի խտրական վերաբերմունքը  հայկական ծագում ունեցող ՌԴ քաղաքացիների  նկատմամբ: Այսպիսի մի շարք հայտարարություններ չէին կարող ալիևյան կլանին խուճապի չմատնել»,- նշեց Բաբուխանյանը:

Նրա խոսքով` Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը փորձում էր արտաքին հարթակում երկակի խաղ խաղալ, սակայն դա նրան չհաջողվեց:

«Մի կողմից ցանկանում էր ցույց տալ իբր  համագործակցությունը Ռուսաստանի հետ, մյուս կողմից առաջ էր տանում Արևմուտքի շահերը: Ռուսաստանի համար անցանկալի են Ալիևի նման արկածախնդրությունները, որովհետև դա կարող է լարվածություն ստեղծել տարածաշրջանում, ուստի Պուտին-Ալիև վերջին հանդիպման ժամանակ, ադրբեջանական կողմին հստակ բացատրվեց, որ չի կարելի զբաղվել արկածախնդրությամբ և ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի հաշվին լուծել երկրի իշխանության պահպանման հարցը»,-նշեց Բաբուխանյանը:
