 Ամեն տարի ողջ աշխարհում հոկտեմբերի 20-ը նշվում է որպես Օստեոպորոզի կանխարգելման համաշխարհային օր, որի նպատակն է բարձրացնել հասարակության իրազեկությունը հիվանդության մասին` կոչ անելով պահպանել անհրաժեշտ միջոցառումները, ժամանակին ախտորոշվել և սկսել բուժումը: Այս տարվա կարգախոսն է. «Առողջ սնունդ՝ առողջ ոսկրեր»:

Օստեոպորոզը մարդու ոսկրային համակարգի ամենատարածված հիվանդություններից է, որը խոշոր առողջապահական խնդիր է: Այն բնութագրվում է ոսկրերի ցածր խտությամբ, ոսկրային հյուսվածքի թուլացմամբ և դրա կառուցվածքի խախտմամբ, ոսկրերի ամրության իջեցմամբ և կոտրվածքների առաջացման հավանականության աճով: Կոտրվածքները և դրանց բարդություններն օստեոպորոզի լուրջ կլինիկական հետևանքներն են: Առավել հաճախ կոտրվում են ողերը (ողնաշար), ազդրի պրոքսիմալ հատվածը (ազդրոսկր) և նախաբազկի դիստալ հատվածը (դաստակ): Մեծահասակ հիվանդների մոտ կոտրվածքների մեծ մասը տեղի եÕ ¶ ունենում ոսկրերի ցածր խտության հետևանքով, նույնիսկ եթե վնասվածքը եղել է ոչ լուրջ: Ցանկացած ոսկրային խոշոր նոր կոտրվածք 50 տարեկան և ավելի մեծ տարիքի մարդկանց մոտ պետք է լուրջ պատճառ դառնա հետագայում հետազոտվելու, օստեոպորոզն ախտորոշելու և բուժելու համար:

Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարությունից, Օստեոպորոզի հայկական ասոցիացիան (ՕՀԱ) մշտապես աջակցել է հիվանդության կանխարգելման, ախտորոշման և բուժման հարցերում: 2007 թվականից ի վեր ասոցիացիայի ջանքերով կազմակերպվել են բազմաթիվ ուսուցողական դասընթացներ բժիշկների համար: Այս տարի ևս ՕՀԱ-ն կազմակերպել է մի շարք միջոցառումներ և կոնֆերանսներ` ուղղված առողջ սննդի անհրաժեշտության մասին բժիշկների և հասարակության իրազեկության բարձրացմանը: Միաժամանակ, օրվա շրջանակներում օստեոպորոզն ախտորոÕ �ելու նպատակով ասոցիացիան անցկացնում է անվճար սկրինինգ պոլիկլինիկաների աշխատողների համար:

Նշենք, որ «Առողջ սնունդ` առողջ ոսկրեր» կարգախոսը պատահական չի ընտրվել: Քանի որ կմախքը կազմավորվում է մանուկ հասակում, շատ կարևոր է օգտագործել առողջ սնունդ այդ տարիքում: Ոսկրերի պարագայում առողջ սնուցման երեք բաղադրիչներն են` կալցիումը, վիտամին «Դ»-ն և սպիտակուցը: Կալցիումը անհրաժեշտ է ոսկրի զանգվածի կուտակման համար: Պարունակվում է կաթնամթերքում, ձկնեղենում, կանաչեղենում, սալորաչրում և այլն: Վիտամին «Դ»-ն, ինչը ստանում ենք արևի ճառագայթներից և ձկնեղենից, նպաստում է կալցիումի ներծծմանը: Սպիտակուցը կարևոր է ոսկրային մաթ րիքսի ձևավորման համար:

Կախված տարիքից կալցիումի դեֆիցիտը բացասաբար է ազդում ոսկրերի որակի վրա, խանգարում է երեխայի աճը, առաջացնում է ռախիտի նշաններ,  հանգեցնում է աճի դանդաղեցման, երբեմն օստեոպենիայի ձևավորման: Ոսկրը հասնում է առավել զարգացման մինչև 30 տարեկանը: Զրոյից մինչև 25-30 տարեկանը ձևավորվում է, այսպես կոչված, ոսկրային զանգվածի «գագաթնակետը»: Դրանից հետո աստիճանաբար սկսվում է ոսկրային զանգվածի կորուստ, ինչն առավել արագ է ընթանում 50-60 տարեկան անձանց շրջանում:
