Ռուսաստան-Միացյալ Նահանգ­ներ հարաբերություններում ճգնա­ժամային նոր փուլի պայմաններում Հայաստան-ԱՄՆ, ինչպես նաև Հայաստան-ՆԱՏՕ փոխհարաբե­րություններում վերջին մի քանի շաբաթներին ուշագրավ իրադարձություններ են տեղի ունեցել: ԱՄՆ-ի և Հայաստանի միջև տն­տեսական համագործակցության մեծ ներուժ կա՝ վերջերս Կոնգրե­սում հայտարարեց ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարության ներկայացուցիչը: Նրա խոսքով՝ մարդասիրական օգնության տրամադրման փոխա­րեն ԱՄՆ-ը ցանկանում է Հայաս­տանի հետ առևտրատնտեսական հարաբերություններ զարգացնել՝ հաղորդում էր «Ամերիկայի ձայնը»:

ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի օգնա­կանի պաշտոնակատար Ջոն Հեֆերնը, որը հայ-ամերիկյան գոր­ծընկերության մասին ամենատեղեկացված մարդկանցից է, 2011- 2014-ը Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դես­պան էր: Կոնգրեսում լսումների ըն­թացքում պատասխանելով կոնգ­րեսական Բրեդ Շերմանի հարցին՝ նշել է, որ հայ-ամերիկյան տնտե­սական հարաբերություններն ունեն կարևորագույն ներուժ. «Մենք ցանկանում ենք օգնություն տրամադրման հիմնված վրա մեր երկ­կողմ հարաբերությունները զարգացնել՛ հասնելով առևտրային համագործակցության վրա հիմն­ված հարաբերությունների»: Պետքարտուղարության ներկա­յացուցիչը հավելել է, որ 2015թ. մայիսին կնքված հայ-ամերիկյան առևտրի և ներդրումների պայմա­նագիրն արդեն իսկ նպաստում է երկու պետությունների միջև առևտրատնտեսական հարաբերությունների զարգացմանը:

ԱԱՆ-ում առավել հեռանկարային են համարում Հայաստանի հետ տն­տեսական համագործակցությունը տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիանե­րի և էներգետիկ ոլորտներում՝ կոնգրեսականներին ասել է ԱՄՆ Միջազգային զարգացման գործա­կալության ներկայացուցիչ Մարգոթ էլիսը. «Դրանք այն ոլորտ­ներն են, որոնք կարող են ոչ մի­այն զարգացնել եվրաատլանտյան ինտեգրումը, այլ նաև հնարավո­րություն են ընձեռում ամերիկյան ընկերություններին ներգրավվել և զարգացնել Հայաստանի հետ գործընկերությունը»»,-գրում է թերթը:
