 ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարարության աջակցությամբ օգոստոսի 3-ին Ժամանակակից արվեստի թանգարանում տեղի է ունեցել կանադահայ քանդակագործ Մկրտիչ Տարագճյանի քանդակների ցուցահանդեսի բացումը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարարության լրատվական վարչությունից, Սփյուռքի նախարարի տեղակալ Սերժ Սրապիոնյանը ներկաներին է փոխանցել նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանի ողջույնի խոսքը և շնորհավորել արվեստասեր հանրությանը կանադահայ քանդակագործի անհատական ցուցահանդեսի բացման առթիվ: «Հուսով եմ՝ Մկրտիչ Տարագեճյանի արվեստի ուժն ու գեղեցկությունը այս ցուցահանդեսի այցելուները դեռ երկար կհիշեն ու կզգան»,- նշել է Սերժ Սրապիոնյանը:

Քանդակագործը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Սփյուռքի նախարարությանը գործուն աջակցության համար և մասնավորապես ասել. «Սա իմ առաջին անհատական ցուցահանդեսն է Հայաստանում, և ես ուրախ եմ, որ իմ քանդակներից մի քանիսն արդեն այստեղ գտել են իրենց մշտական հասցեները՝ Եղիշե Չարենցի տուն-թանգարան, Կոմիտասի անվան պետական կոնսերվատորիա և այլն: Ես մասնագիտությամբ բժիշկ եմ, սակայն ինձ միշտ ձգել է արվեստի ամենազոր ուժը, նկարել եմ տարիներ շարունակ, ապա հմտացել քանդակագործության մեջ: Այսօր զբաղվում եմ միայն քանդակագործությամբ»:

Մկրտիչ Տարագեճյանի քանդակները գտնվում են նաև Կանադայում և ԱՄՆ-ում: Քանդակագործի հեղինակած հայտնի լուսանկարիչ Յուսուֆ Քարշի հուշարձանը տեղադրվել է Օտտավա քաղաքի կենտրոնական հատվածում, իսկ «Ընթերցողը» քանդակը` Մոնրեալի քաղաքապետարանի հանրային գրադարանի առջև:

Ցուցահանդեսը այցելուների համար բաց կլինի օգոստոսի 3-ից 17-ը:
