Հայկական կողմը հերքում է Ադրբեջանի տարածած ապատեղեկատվությունը, իբր հայկական զինված ուժերը կրակել են բնակավայրի ուղղությամբ և վիրավորել 13-ամյա երեխայի: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ՀՀ ՊՆ մամուլի խոսնակ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը նշում է.
«Օգոստոսի 7-ի երեկոյան ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցները ապատեղեկատվություն էին տարածել այն մասին, թե իբր հայկական ստորաբաժանումները կրակ են բացել ադրբեջանական Գարալար գյուղի ուղղությամբ՝ արդյունքում վիրավորելով 13-ամյա մի երեխայի: Կտրականապես հերքում ենք այս ապատեղեկատվությունը և զգուշացնում ադրբեջանական ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարությանը, որ ցանկացած սադրանք անպատասխան չի մնալու և ամբողջ պատասխանատվությունը ընկնելու է ադրբեջանական կողմի վրա:
Երեկ երեկոյան և գիշերը սահմանին, ընդհանուր առմամբ, հանգիստ է եղել, հայկական ստորաբաժանումները առհասարակ որևէ զինատեսակից կրակ չեն արձակել: Իսկ ադրբեջանական քարոզչության կեղծիքն ի հայտ է գալիս հենց ներկայացված երեխայի վերքերի նկարներից, որոնցում երեխայի վերքերը ակնհայտորեն հին են և որևէ կապ չեն կարող ունենալ բեկորային վնասվածքների հետ»:
