Amazon-ի գլխավոր գործադիր տնօրեն Ջեֆ Բեզոսը շարունակում Է զիջել դիրքերը աշխարհի ամենահարուստ մարդկանց վարկանիշում: Օգոստոսի 10-ին նրա կարողությունը նվազել Է 2 մլրդ դոլարով, ինչի հետեւանքով նա իջել Է ցուցակի երրորդ տեղը: Դա տեղի Է ունեցել աշխարհի սակարաններում Amazon-ի բաժնետոմսերի արժեքի 2,6 տոկոս անկման հետեւանքով, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Bloomberg-ին: Գործակալության տվյալներով՝ այդ օրը նվազել են բազմաթիվ այլ ընկերությունների գնանշումները: Սակարկությունների արդյունքներով՝ թոփ-500-ի հարուստներն ընդհանուր առմամբ կորցրել են 42,7 մլրդ դոլար:
Օգոստոսի 10-ը բորսաներում ամենավատ օրն Է դարձել վերջին երեք ամսվա ընթացքում: Ֆոնդային շուկան այդ կերպ Է արձագանքել Հյուսիսային Կորեայի հասցեին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի արած ռազմաշունչ հայտարարություններին: ԱՄՆ-ի ղեկավարը, մասնավորապես, հայտարարել Է, որ ԿԺԴՀ-ն պետք Է «շատ, շատ նյարդանանա», եթե անգամ մտածի հարձակվել Միացյալ Նահանգների կամ նրա դաշնակիցների վրա:
Առաջին հերթին կորուստներ են կրել բարձրտեխնոլոգիական ընկերությունների սեփականատերերը: Այսպես, NetEase չինական ինտերնետ-ընկերության ղեկավար Դին Լեյը կորցրել Է 1,8 մլրդ դոլար, Facebook-ի հիմնադիր Մարկ Ցուկերբերգը՝ 1,6 մլրդ դոլար:
Հուլիսի 27-ին Բեզոսը ճանաչվել Էր աշխարհի ամենահարուստ մարդը: Այդ պահին նրա կարողությունը կազմում Էր 90,5 մլրդ դոլար՝ 500 մլն դոլարով ավելի, քան Microsoft-ի հիմնադիր Բիլ Գեյթսինը: Սակայն արդեն հաջորդ օրը Amazon-ի ղեկավարը զիջեց առաջատարի դիրքը՝ հայտնվելով վարկանիշի երկրորդ տեղում: Սակարկությունների արդյունքներով՝ նրա կապիտալը նվազեց մինչեւ 88,7 մլրդ դոլար՝ Գեյթսի 89,8 միլիարդի դիմաց:
