«Ժողովուրդ»–ի տեղեկություններով՝ ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազությունը ընթացք չի տա ՀՀ Աժ ՀԱԿ խմբակցության ղեկավար Լևոն Զուրաբյանի հայտարարությանը, որով նա ՀՀ ՍԴ նախագահ Գագիկ Հարությունյանին մեղադրել էր Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի անդամներին կաշառելու մեջ։ Ու թեև այդ հայտարարությունից հետո դատախազությունը ՀՀ ոստիկանությանը հանձնարարել էր հետաքննություն անցկացնել՝ պատգամավորի հնչեցրած մեղադրանքները ստուգելու համար, այնուամենայնիվ ոստիկանությանն այդպես էլ չհաջողվեց Զուրաբյանից կոնկրետ փաստեր ստանալ։
Ըստ երևույթին, ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազ Գևորգ Կոստանյանն էլ չցանկացավ ներքաշվել քաղաքականության մեջ և որոշեց պատգամավորի հայտարարությանը ընթացք չտալ։ Ի վերջո, եթե սուտ մատնության հատկանիշներով քրեական գործ հարուցվեր, Զուրաբյւսնը դա կարող էր ներկայացնել իբրև քաղաքական հետապնդում։ Չի բացառվում նաև, որ դատախազը հաշվի առավ նաև Վենետիկի հանձնաժողովի գնահատականը, թե պատգամավորի մեղադրանքները անհեթեթ են, դրա համար էլ որոշեց լուրջ չվերաբերվել կաշառքի մասին հայտարարությանը»,–գրում է թերթը։
