Ամերիկացի կենսաբանները կաթվածի դեմ պոտենցիալ դեղամիջոց են ստեղծել

Ամերիկացի կենսաբանները բացահայտել են երեք հորմոնների հավաքածու, որոնք ստիպում են նյարդային վերջույթներին սերտաճել ու այն օգտագործել են ինսուլտից կամ էլ ողնաշարի կոտրվածքից հետո մկներին մասնակի կաթվածից ազատելու համար։ Այս մասին ասվում է Neuron ամսագրում հրապարակված հոդվածում ։
«Երբ մենք այդ կոկտեյլը ներարկել ենք կենդանու ուղեղի մեջ, մենք երկու բան ենք տեսել՝ մեկն ակնկալվող, մյուսն անսպասելի։ Մենք ակնկալում էինք, որ աքսոնները կսկսեն աճել կենդանու ողնուղեղում։ Մյուս կողմից էլ, նման մի բան էլ սկսել է տեղի ունենալ նաեւ մկների գլխուղեղի ենթակեղեւային տարածքում։ Թե ինչպես է դա ազդում շարժունակության վերականգնման վրա, մենք դեռ չգիտենք»,- պատմում է Չժիգան Հեն՝ Հարվարդի համալսարանից։
Վերջին տարիներին գիտնականները կարողանում էին ողնաշարի տրավմաներից հետո մասնակիորեն վերականգնել մկների ու առնետների վերջույթների շարժունակությունը։ Դրա համար նրանք օգտագործում էին ողնուղեղի վնասված մասի էլեկտրախթանումն ու հատուկ «լիցքավորումը», նաեւ ցողունային բջիջների ներարկումները։
Խնդիրն այն է, որ այդ մեթոդները չէին ապահովում վերջույթների նկատմամբ ամբողջական հսկողության վերականգնում։ Հեն ու նրա գործընկերները պատահաբար բացահայտել են մարմնի շարժունակության ամբողջական վերականգնման արդյունավետ միջոց։ Գիտնականները փորձարկումների ընթացքում հասկացել են, որ ողնուղեղի կամ նույնիսկ գլխուղեղի նեյրոններին կարելի է ստիպել ձեւավորել նոր կապեր, եթե արհեստականորեն միացվեն IGF1 ու OPN գեները, որոնք պատասխանատու են այդ մոլեկուլների արտադրության համար։ Կենսաբանները ստեղծել են հատուկ ռետրովիրուս, որը նման գործողություն է կատարում, ու դրա աշխատանքը ստուգել են մկների վրա։
Մկների վրա փորձերը ցույց են տվել, որ այդ վիրուսի ու նյարդային վերջույթների աճը խթանող 4-AP-3 սինթետիկ հորմոնի համադրությունը նկատելիորեն բարելավել ու արագացրել է մկների վերականգնումը տրավմայից հետո։
