Յուրաքանչյուրը, ով երբևէ փորձել է կինոթատրոնում չիպս ուտել, գիտի, թե ինչպիսի սարսափելի ձայներ են գալիս:

Պրոֆեսորը եկավ եզրակացության, որ, ինչպես և հոտը, այնպես էլ ձայնը մեծ դեր ունի այն հարցում, թե ինչքան հաճույք ենք մենք ստանում ուտելիքից:

«Ուտելիքի ձայնը նույնպես նշանակություն ունի: Ի դեպ՝ պարզվում է, որ կարևոր է անգամ ուտելիքի տուփի և շրջապատից եկող ձայները: Չիպսերով լի աղմկոտ տուփը ուղղակի բացում է մեր ախորժակը»:

 

«Չիպսերի տուփի երևույթը նման է, օրինակ, շամպայնի խցանի բացելուն. ձայնից հաճույք ենք ստանում, մեզ մոտ մեխանիկորեն որոշակի սպասումներ են առաջանում»:
