Պարզվում է՝ այս տարօրինակ ավանդույթը մեկ բացատրություն չունի: Մի քանի վարկած կա:

Մառախլապատ Ալբիոնի բնակիչները սիրում են պատմել լեգենդը, որ պիջակի ներքևի կոճակն արձակած թողնելու ավանդույթը սկիզբ է առել Էդուարդ VII-ի կառավարման ժամանակ:

    

Ասում են՝ միապետը տարիքի հետ գիրացել էր, ուստի ստիպված էր արձակած թողնել պիջակի և ժիլետի ներքևի կոճակները:

Արքայական շրջապատը հետևել է այդ սովորությանը և դարձրել նորաձև:

Սակայն այս վարկածը կասկածելի է: Բավարար է նայել երիտասարդ արքայազն Էդուարդ VII-ի լուսանկարները, որոնցում երևում է, որ նույնիսկ բարեկազմ եղած ժամանակ միապետը կոստյումի ներքևի կոճակն արձակ էր թողնում:

Ամերիկացիներն ասում են, որ այս ավանդույթի արմատները իրենց մոտ են առաջացել: Վայրի Արևմուտքի ժամանակներում արձակ ներքևի կոճակը հնարավորություն էր տալիս ատրճանակն ավելի արագ հանել պատյանից:

Կա էթիկետի այս կանոնի նաև զուտ ռացիոնալ բացատրություն: Երբ նստում ես, կոճկված ներքևի կոճակը պիջակն ալիքաձև քաշում է: Դա գեղեցիկ չէ, նաև գործվածքն է փչանում:

Իսկ քանի որ ամեն անգամ չէին ուզում կոճակն արձակել-կոճկել, ժամանակի ընթացքում որոշեցին ներքևի կոճակն ընդհանրապես չկոճկել:

Կա նաև էսթետիկ բացատրություն:

Ամբողջովին կոճկված դասական պիջակները գեղեցիկ են միայն բարեկազմ տղամարդկանց հագին:

Իսկ արձակված ներքևի կոճակը նաև գերերին է հնարավորություն տալիս պահպանել էլեգանտությունը:

Վերջում ներկայացնենք՝ որ դեպքերում է պետք պիջակի ներքևի կոճակը կոճկել:

Այդպես պետք է անել, եթե պիջակը երկեզր է կամ վրան միայն մեկ կոճակ կա:

Բացի դրանից՝ եթե արձակած ներքևի կոճակով պիջակը քեզ բոլորովին չի սազում, պետք է շրջանցել էթիկետի կանոնները:

Ավելի լավ է՝ լրիվ կոճկել կամ ընդհանրապես չկոճկել պիջակը:
