Ազգությամբ թուրք Նոբելյան մրցանակի դափնեկիր, լրագրող Օրհան Փամբուկը CNN-ին տված հարցազրույցում նշել է, որ Թուրքիան գնալով ավելի ու ավելի ավտորիտար և բռնատիրական պետության է վերածվում: «Թուրքիան գնալով ավելի ու ավելի է վերածվում ավտորիտար պետության՝ օգտագործելով իշխանական բոլոր հնարավոր և անհնար լծակները՝ ճնշելու հատկապես բնակչության միջին խավին», -«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշել է Փամուկը:

Լրագրողի այն հարցին, թե վերջին շրջանում ներքաղաքական ի՞նչ փոփոխություններ են կատարվել կամ կատարվում Թուրքիայում, Փամուկը պատասխանել է, որ հատկապես նախորդ տարվա հուլիսին կազմակերպված և ձախողված հեղաշրջման փորձից հետո Թուրքիայի նախագահ Էրդողանը և նրա կուսակցությունը, մարդկանց տարբեր մեղադրանքներ առաջադրելով և ձերբակալելով, մասսայաբար աշխատանքից հեռացնելով և դավաճանության մեջ մեղադրելով, ավելի են մեծացրել և մեծացնում են առանց այն էլ գոյություն ունեցող ավտորիտար վարչակարգը: Փամուկը կարծում է, որ այսպիսի իրավիճակն անընդունելի է, և ընդդիմադիր կուսակցությունները այդ առումով պետք է լուրջ քայլեր ձեռնարկեն:

«Ես անհանգստանում եմ ինչպես իմ, այնպես էլ բոլորի կյանքի համար, քանզի այդ սպառնալիքներն ու ճնշումները կարող են բոլորի վրա ազդեցություն ունենալ և ուղղված լինել բոլորի դեմ: Չնայած այդ ամենին՝ ես դեռևս լավատես եմ և հույս ունեմ, որ Թուրքիան օրերից մի օր իսկապես դեմոկրատ կլինի», - ավելացնում է Փամուկը՝ պատասխանելով լրագրողի այն հարցին, թե արդյոք նա անհանգստացա՞ծ է իր կյանքի համար:

«Աշխարհի բոլոր երկրներում էլ գոյություն ունեն խնդիրներ, սակայն Թուրքիայի ամենամեծ խնդիրը ավտորիտարիզմի աճն է, որն արդեն տարիներ շարունակ ուղեկցում է երկրի ներքաղաքական կյանքը», - խոսքն ավարտում է Փամուկը:
