«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «ՀՀ սպորտի եւ երիտասարդության հարցերի նախարար Գաբրիել Ղազարյանը երեկ լրագրողների հետ զրույցի ժամանակ խոստովանել է, որ ինքը տեղյակ չէ, թե Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիայում ինչ է կատարվում: Սա այն դեպքում, երբ Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլը հենց այն ոլորտն է, որտեղ ակնհայտ խայտառակ իրավիճակ է տիրում: Մի քանի տարի առաջ բոլորը մեծ հույսեր էին կապում Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային հավաքականի հետ, քանի որ դրա կազմում բազմաթիվ բարձրակարգ ֆուտբոլիստներ ընդգրկվեցին: Սակայն Հայաստանի հավաքականը խայտառակ ձեւով տապալվեց «Եվրո-016»-ի ընտրական փուլում. ութ խաղերից վեցում պարտվեց, իսկ երկուսում կարողացավ միայն ոչ ոքի խաղալ: Եւ պետք է արձանագրել, որ Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլը, թերեւս, այն եզակի ոլորտներից է, որտեղ միանշանակ ակնհայտ է՝ տարվող քաղաքականությունը սխալ է, եւ փոփոխության պետք է ենթարկել:

Սպորտի եւ երիտասարդության հարցերով նախարարությունը ոչ միայն իրավունք չունի ֆուտբոլում տիրող իրավիճակին ծանոթ չլինել, այլեւ, որպես ոլորտում պետական քաղաքականությունը իրականացնող գերատեսչություն, ուղղակի պարտավոր է ամենայն մանրամասնությամբ պարզել, թե ՀՖՖ-ում ինչ է կատարվում, եւ որոնք են ազգային հավաքականի ձախողման պատճառները՝ միջոցներ ձեռնարկելով իրավիճակը շտկելու համար: Սակայն նախարարը քաղաքական անմեղսունակություն դրսեւորելով՝ հայտարարել է, թե անտեղյակ է:

Իհարկե, հասկանալի է, որ նախարար Գաբրիել Ղազարյանին ՀՖՖ նախագահ Ռուբեն Հայրապետյանը պարզապես արգելել է ֆուտբոլով հետաքրքրվել, եւ ինքը, «շառից-փորձանքից հեռու», այդ սպորտաձեւի մասին մոռացել է: Բայց այդպես մի տեսակ սիրուն չէ»:
