Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախկին նախարար Թոֆիկ Զուլֆուգարովը Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովային մեղադրել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության հարցում Հայաստանի դիրքորոշմանն աջակցելու մեջ:

Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախկին նախարարը նաև պահանջել է այդ երկրի ներկայիս արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էլմար Մամեդյարովի հրաժարականը:

Դրա համար հիմք է հանդիսացել ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովայի մեկնաբանությունը` կապված ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ամերիկացի արդեն նախկին համանախագահ Ռիչարդ Հոգլանդի հայտարարության հետ, ով ներկայացրել էր ԼՂ հակամարտության կարգավորման հիմնական դրույթները:

Մարիա Զախարովան, մեկնաբանելով Ռիչարդ Հոգլանդի հայտարարությունը, նշել էր, որ դա նորություն չէ: «Ռուսաստանի, Ֆրանսիայի և ԱՄՆ նախագահները Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման վերաբերյալ համատեղ հայտարարություններում մեկ անգամ չէ, որ հղում են կատարել այդ կետերին»,- ասել է Զախարովան:

Զախարովայի մեկնաբանությունն էլ առաջացրել է Զուլֆուգարովի դժգոհությունը: Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախկին նախարարը «Ֆեյսբուք»-ի իր էջում գրել է, որ Մարիա Զախարովայի մեկնաբանությունը համընկնում է Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի հայտարարության հետ: Նա նաև քննադատել է Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էլմար Մամեդյարովին և մեղադրել նրան այս իրավիճակում լռություն պահպանելու մեջ:
